Blood Flow Restriction Training: A Tool to Enhance Rehabilitation and Build Athlete Resiliency
Abstract Blood flow restriction training (BFRT) is a tool utilized in rehabilitation and injury prevention to improve muscle strength and size, particularly in load‐compromised individuals. BFRT facilitates gains in muscular strength and hypertrophy at lower loads, allowing for accelerated recovery and less disuse atrophy.

Kaatsu Training: Application to Metabolic Syndrome
Kaatsu training (hereafter Kaatsu) was applied to patients with metabolic syndrome. PURPOSE: To evaluate the effect of Kaatsu on patients with hypertension, diabetes mellitus, dyslipidemia, and obesity with metabolic syndrome. METHOD: A 3-exercise set of Kaatsu was performed for 6-12 minutes, once or twice a week with a Borg scale at level 13.

Arterial and Venous Pressure Dynamics in Blood Flow Restriction Versus Traditional Strength Training
ABSTRACT Strength training responses are influenced by sets, repetitions, and mechanical load, whereas Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) training adds the variable of temporarily restricting blood flow via a tourniquet. This has intensified scientific discussions regarding the vascular responses and thereby safety of the BFR method.

EFFECTS OF KAATSU TRAINING ON UPPER EXTREMITY SIZE AND STRENGTH [PDF]
poster abstractConventional resistance training involves lifting heavy loads (~70% max-imal strength), which can be poorly tolerated or contraindicated in many clinical populations. KAATSU training is a novel training mode from Japan that combines muscle

Background: Previous meta‐analyses show contrasting findings regarding the effects of blood flow restriction training (BFRT) in different knee conditions. Furthermore, no previous dose‐response analysis has been conducted to determine the dose of BFRT required for maximal strength and functionality adaptations. Objective: To analyze the evidence on the
