ABSTRACT Drought is among the most severe and persistent threats to food supply chains, and relocating production to less drought‐prone regions offers a strategy to reduce this risk. This is particularly relevant for fresh vegetables, which are highly water‐intensive, yet drought‐driven reconfiguration strategies remain understudied.

Influence of Confining Pressure on the Kaiser Effect of Rocks

A Hybrid Transfer Learning Framework for Brain Tumor Diagnosis
A novel hybrid transfer learning approach for brain tumor classification achieves 99.47% accuracy using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) images. By combining image preprocessing, ensemble deep learning, and explainable artificial intelligence (XAI) techniques like gradient‐weighted class activation mapping and SHapley Additive exPlanations (SHAP), the ...

Time-sensitivity mechanism of rock stress memory properties under tensile stress
In deep underground engineering, understanding of time-related stress memory properties is critical to evaluate the in situ stress conditions of a rock mass. In this study, the time-sensitivity mechanism of the rock stress memory properties under tensile

Abstract An ecological model was developed to examine the pathways linking immigration state policies to physically safe work conditions and work volition, interpersonal discrimination, and mental health distress. The ecological framework was tested among two subsamples totaling 529 Latinx immigrant participants: (1) immigrants who resided in states ...

Abstract Dental microwear texture analysis (DMTA) is widely applied for inferring diet in vertebrates. Besides diet and ingesta properties, factors like wear stage and bite force may affect microwear formation, potentially leading to tooth position‐specific microwear patterns.

Numerical study of AE and DRA methods in sandstone and granite in orthogonal loading directions
The directional dependency of the acoustic emission (AE) and deformation rate analysis (DRA) methods was analyzed, based on the contact bond model in the two-dimensional particle flow code (PFC2D) in two types of rocks, the coarse-grained sandstone and ...
