Workshop summary: Kaons@CERN 2023 [PDF]

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields, 2023
Kaon physics is at a turning point – while the rare-kaon experiments NA62 and KOTO are in full swing, the end of their lifetime is approaching and the future experimental landscape needs to be defined.

Model selection in electromagnetic production of kaons [PDF]

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences
. New isobar models for the photoproduction of kaons off the proton target were constructed utilizing a consistent formalism for exchanges of high-spin resonances and energy-dependent widths of nucleon resonances. For adjusting the free parameters of the

Configurational entropy and shape complexity of strange vector kaons in AdS/QCD [PDF]

open access: yes, 2023
The mass spectrum of strange vector kaons resonances is scrutinized, using AdS/QCD with a deformed dilaton that arises from the constituent quark masses.

Kaon and hyperon form factors in kaon electroproduction on the nucleon [PDF]

open access: yesNuclear Physics A, 1998
The electromagnetic form factors of strange mesons and baryons are studied by means of kaon electroproduction on the nucleon. The response functions that are sensitive to the K0, Lambda, Sigma, and KK*γtransition form factors are systematically explored. The effects of these form factors on several response functions are discussed.

Neutral to charged kaon yield fluctuations in Pb – Pb collisions at sNN=2.76 TeV

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2022
We present the first measurement of event-by-event fluctuations in the kaon sector in Pb – Pb collisions at sNN=2.76 TeV with the ALICE detector at the LHC.

NOAA Space Weather Prediction Center Radiation Advisories for the International Civil Aviation Organization

open access: yesSpace Weather, Volume 21, Issue 7, July 2023., 2023
Abstract The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's Space Weather Prediction Center (NOAA/SWPC) issues several solar radiation storm products: the long standing proton Warnings and Alerts that are based on particle intensity levels observed by the Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellites; and the more recent International Civil ...

Mit B‐Mesonen auf der Suche nach neuer Physik

open access: yesPhysik in unserer Zeit, Volume 54, Issue 3, Page 134-141, May 2023., 2023

The Low‐Scale Seesaw Solution to the MW$M_W$ and (g−2)μ$(g-2)_\umu$ Anomalies

open access: yesFortschritte der Physik, Volume 71, Issue 4-5, May 2023., 2023
Abstract The recent CDF‐II measurement of the W‐boson mass shows a strong tension with the corresponding Standard Model prediction. Once active neutrino masses are explained in the context of the Low‐Scale Seesaw mechanisms, this tension can be resolved.

Search for dark photons in heavy‐ion collisions

open access: yesAstronomische Nachrichten, Volume 344, Issue 1-2, January-February 2023., 2023
Abstract The vector U‐bosons, or so‐called “dark photons,” are one of the possible candidates for the dark matter mediators. They are supposed to interact with the standard matter via a “vector portal” due to the U(1)−U(1)′$$ U(1)-U{(1)}^{\prime } $$ symmetry group mixing which might make them visible in particle and heavy‐ion experiments.

Theoretical and Experimental Challenges in the Measurement of Neutrino Mass

open access: yesAdvances in High Energy Physics, Volume 2023, Issue 1, 2023., 2023
Neutrino masses are yet unknown. We discuss the present state of effective electron antineutrino mass from β decay experiments; effective Majorana neutrino mass from neutrinoless double‐beta decay experiments; neutrino mass squared differences from neutrino oscillation: solar, atmospheric, reactor, and accelerator‐based experiments; sum of neutrino ...
