Low $Q^2$ wave-functions of pions and kaons and their parton distribution functions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
We study the low $Q^2$ wave-functions of pions and kaons as an expansion in terms of hadron-like Fock state fluctuations. In this formalism, pion and kaon wave-functions are related one another.

Access to the Kaon Radius with Kaonic Atoms

open access: yesAnnalen der Physik, Volume 534, Issue 3, March 2022., 2022
Herein, a method to determine the kaon radius from the spectra of kaonic atoms by analyzing the few lowest‐lying transitions in a wide nuclear charge range is proposed, taking into account leading‐order QED and nuclear‐size effects. Additionally, the opportunities for extracting the kaon mass and nuclear radii are demonstrated.

Revisiting the Limits of Atmospheric Temperature Retrieval From Cosmic‐Ray Measurements

open access: yesEarth and Space Science, Volume 9, Issue 3, March 2022., 2022
Abstract A priori, cosmic‐ray measurements offer a unique capability to determine the vertical profile of atmospheric temperatures directly from ground. However, despite the increased understanding of the impact of the atmosphere on cosmic‐ray rates, attempts to explore the technological potential of the latter for atmospheric physics remain very ...

$K_S$ semileptonic decays and test of $\mathcal{CPT}$ symmetry with the KLOE detector [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Study of semileptonic decays of neutral kaons allows to perform a test of discrete symmetries, as well as basic principles of the Standard Model. In this paper a general review on dependency between charge asymmetry constructed for semileptonic decays of

New bounds on axion-like particles from MicroBooNE

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2022
Neutrino experiments lie at the edge of the intensity frontier and therefore can be exploited to search for new light particles weakly coupled to the visible sector.

Measurement of directed flow of K*0 and ϕ resonances in Au+Au collisions at RHIC BES energies [PDF]

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences
We report measurements of the directed flow (v1) for charged kaons, ϕ mesons, and K*0 resonances in Au+Au collisions at √sNN = 14.5, 19.6, and 27 GeV. This analysis includes the first-ever v1 measurement for the K*0 resonance in heavy-ion collisions. Our

Isospin-symmetry breaking in kaon production: The role of charge-symmetry [PDF]

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences
An excess of charged versus neutral kaons has been recently reported by the NA61/SHINE collaboration. Similar excesses were also present in previous experiments, even if with larger errors.

On the flow of kaons produced in relativistic heavy ion collisions [PDF]

open access: yes, 1998
We investigate the different contributions to the in-plane flow of K+ mesons observed recently by the FOPI collaboration in the reaction Ni(1.93 AGeV)+Ni.

Impact of indirect CP violation on Br(K S → μ + μ − ) ℓ=0

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2023
The decay K S → (μ + μ − ) ℓ=0, with the final muon pair in an angular-momentum zero state, is a sensitive probe of short-distance physics. It has recently been shown how to extract this branching ratio from neutral kaon decay data. We point out that the

Ground-state energy shift of n pions and m kaons in a finite volume [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
The ground state energy of a collection of n pions and m kaons with short range interactions is calculated for a volume with finite spatial extent L and periodic boundary conditions.
