On the Stability of Karman Vortex Street in a Channel of Finite Breadth, II.
前論文(報告第四十八號)に於いて,著者は,有限な幅の溝に於けるKarman渦列の安定さを,適當な二重週期函數を使つて論じたが,本論文はそれの續きと看做さるべきものである。既に述べた通り,第一報に於いて考へた攪亂は餘りに特別な性質のものであつて,唯これだけを考へに入れただけで,與へられた渦列の安定さを斷定することは出來ない。それで,著者もここで安定と云ふのは現在考へてゐる樣な攪亂に對しては安定であるといふ意味であつて,一般な攪亂に對して安定であるとはまだ云はないと斷り書をしたのであつた。實際,前論文に於ける樣に,若し實週期が2w=kである樣な二重週期函數を使へば,前の樣な特殊な攪亂しか與へ得ないのである。二重週期函數を使つて安定さを論じようとする限り,より一般な攪亂を與へるためには,實週期を大きくして,
