Karst Landforms in the Lagoa Santa Area
2020The karst landscape in the Lagoa Santa area is characterized by a full suite of typical karst landforms, with some peculiar features commonly not found in other karst areas. The karst is developed in Proterozoic carbonates of the Sete Lagoas Formation.

A map of karst cave areas in Australia
Australian Geographical Studies, 1983A dot map of karst cave areas in Australia is presented together with a similar one redrawn from the National Atlas of the United States of America. The limitations of the map are described. The geographical circumstances behind Australia's poverty in these resources and the risks to which they are exposed are outlined.

Floodplain Protection and Management in Karst Areas
1995Karst floodplains are vulnerable to flooding especially in the Mediterranean area. At the same time, important groundwater resources are available in karst areas. Protection of karst floodplains and management may be provided by use of risk and reliability techniques. Uncertainties induced by karst formations are analyzed first in this chapter.

CARBON ISOTOPE DISTRIBUTION IN THE KARST AREA
2013Distribution of carbon isotopes 14C (a14C) and 13C (δ13C) was investigated in the Dinaric karst area of Croatia. As a case study we used Plitvice Lakes National Park which is a typical karst area with karst springs, lakes and rivers, recent carbonate deposits in form of tufa and lake sediments, terrestrial and aquatic plants, as well as a soil above ...
