Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

CALENDAR+: in-context contrastive learning for temporal knowledge graph reasoning

open access: yesComplex & Intelligent Systems
Temporal Knowledge Graph (TKG) reasoning aims to infer future events from historical facts. Recent advances in large language models (LLMs) have shown that in-context learning can effectively enhance temporal reasoning.

Multi-Cell Cooperative Outage Compensation in Cloud-RANs Based 5G Public Safety Network

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2017
Cell outage compensation is a crucial way for public safety network (PSN) to recover network communication independently during disasters. As a significant technology for 5G, a cloud-radio access network (C-RAN) plays an important role in a PSN.

Developmental switches that hold the key to a revolution in crop biotechnology [PDF]

open access: yesNature Reviews Genetics, 2011
1have provided valuable insights into transcriptional regulation during well-known developmental switches in Arabidopsis thaliana — including the development of the inflorescence meristem from the apical meristem and the establishment of floral organ identities.

Biophysical approaches for studying viral entry

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Viruses infect all living organisms and have been responsible for major epidemics and pandemics. Their ongoing evolutionary battle with host defenses creates a constant need for improved tools to study viral behavior. Advancing methods to probe viral attachment, fusion, and genome release deepen our understanding of how infections begin and support the

Personalized Sketch-Based Image Retrieval by Convolutional Neural Network and Deep Transfer Learning

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
The sketch-based image retrieval (SBIR) finds the natural images according to the features and rules defined by human beings. The retrieval results are generally similar in contour; however, their complete semantic information of the image is missing ...

The human gut microbiome across the life course

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Despite significant individual variation and continuous change throughout life, the human gut microbiome follows some life stage‐specific trends. This article provides a brief overview of how gut microbiome composition shifts across different phases of life. Created in BioRender. Özkurt, E. (2026) https://BioRender.com/8q4nrnc.
