A functional inequality on the boundary of static manifolds [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
On the boundary of a compact Riemannian manifold $(\Omega, g)$ whose metric $g$ is static, we establish a functional inequality involving the static potential of $(\Omega, g)$, the second fundamental form and the mean curvature of the boundary $\partial \

Genome‐wide association study identifies consistent genomic loci for yield and nutritional quality in Ethiopian sorghum landraces

open access: yesThe Plant Genome, Volume 19, Issue 1, March 2026.
Abstract Identifying genomic regions linked to yield and quality is crucial for sorghum (Sorghum bicolor L.) improvement, but limited studies on its genome and diversity hinder breeding efforts. This study aimed to identify phenotypic variance and common quantitative trait nucleotides (QTNs) associated with genomic regions linked with grain yield and ...

Highly Stable Ion‐Exchange Doping of Organic Semiconductor Single Crystals for Reliable Flexible Sensors

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 36, Issue 13, 12 February 2026.
Stable ion‐exchange doping of organic semiconductor single crystals is demonstrated using bulky hydrophobic anions. Electrical conductivity is significantly enhanced and maintained under ambient air and elevated temperatures, while intrinsic strain sensitivity remains intact over 100 000 strain cycles. The approach highlights the critical role of anion

Spectral Tuning of Hyperbolic Shear Polaritons in Monoclinic Gallium Oxide via Isotopic Substitution

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, Volume 38, Issue 11, 20 February 2026.
Spectral tuning of highly directional hyperbolic shear polaritons is realized via isotopic substitution of 16O to 18O in monoclinic β$\beta$‐phase gallium oxide. A red‐shift of almost 40 cm−1 is experimentally demonstrated with near‐field imaging, corroborated by the permittivity change extracted from far‐field experiments and density functional theory.

On free evolution of self gravitating, spherically symmetric waves [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
We perform a numerical free evolution of a selfgravitating, spherically symmetric scalar field satisfying the wave equation. The evolution equations can be written in a very simple form and are symmetric hyperbolic in Eddington-Finkelstein coordinates ...

Allosteric Modulation of Pathological Ataxin‐3 Aggregation: A Path to Spinocerebellar Ataxia Type‐3 Therapies

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 11, 23 February 2026.
This study uncovers a new allosteric site in the Josephin domain of ataxin‐3 targeted by the molecular tweezer CLR01, which modulates protein aggregation, improves synaptic function in neuronal cells, and delays motor dysfunction in animal models.

Allosteric Modulation of Pathological Ataxin‐3 Aggregation: A Path to Spinocerebellar Ataxia Type‐3 Therapies (Adv. Sci. 11/2026)

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 11, 23 February 2026.
Spinocerebellar Ataxia Type‐3 Therapies The molecular tweezer CLR01 binds an allosteric site on the Josephin domain of ataxin‐3, reducing conformational flexibility and limiting motions that expose the aggregation‐prone region. Concentric circles evoke the ripple of allosteric modulation extending across biological scales, delaying amyloid formation ...

THE ASSESSMENT OF ARIDITY IN LESKOVAC BASIN, SERBIA (1981–2010)

open access: yesZbornik Radova: Geografski institut "Jovan Cvijić", 2018
In the paper, the aridity is defined on the basis of four climate indices: De Martonne's index of aridity, Lang’s Rain Factor and Gračanin’s Rain factor for the vegetation period and hydrothermal coefficient of Seljaninov.

Spillover in Sustainable Consumer Behavior: A Matter of Commitment

open access: yesJournal of Consumer Behaviour, Volume 24, Issue 6, Page 3152-3168, November 2025.
ABSTRACT Consumers express their commitment to environmental protection by engaging in a variety of environmentally protective behaviors. We thus suggest that strengthening consumers' commitment to environmental protection will cause behavioral spillover, which is the joint change in multiple environmentally protective behaviors. This idea differs from

Vom Bibliotheksgesetz zum Kulturfördergesetz. Neue Wege der Kulturpolitik in Nordrhein-Westfalen? Eine Kurzbetrachtung.

open access: yeso-bib.
