Among 600 Ghanaian university students, males had higher lifetime alcohol, tobacco, and cannabis use than females. Strict parental supervision protected males; Islamic faith protected females; residential autonomy and family conflict increased female cannabis use. Prevention strategies must be sex‐sensitive and culturally grounded.

Drawing on in‐depth interviews with primary school teachers in Sydney, Australia, this paper examines teacher perspectives on how classroom teaching is impacted when large proportions of students receive private tutoring.

In maize, the bHLH transcription factor ZmbHLH118 directly binds to the promoter of ZmCLCa and inhibits its expression. Tonoplast‐localized ZmCLCa mediates NO3− influx into the vacuole to regulate intracellular NO3− homeostasis, modulating nitrate uptake and metabolism, plant growth, and grain yield.
