Biocompatible Multifunctional Polymeric Material for Mineralized Tissue Adhesion

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, Volume 14, Issue 27, October 20, 2025.
A multifunctional thiol‐ene resin system is developed that provides a strong adhesive interface with dentin while maintaining biocompatibility with dental pulp cells. The addition of an acidic monomer to a triacrylate‐trithiol‐based resin achieves over 10 MPa shear bond strength by reinforcing the hybrid interface.

Mapping and Sequencing of a Significant Quantitative Trait Locus Affecting Resistance to Koi Herpesvirus in Common Carp

open access: yesG3: Genes, Genomes, Genetics, 2018
Cyprinids are the most highly produced group of fishes globally, with common carp being one of the most valuable species of the group. Koi herpesvirus (KHV) infections can result in high levels of mortality, causing major economic losses, and is listed ...

Plasma Immersion Ion Implantation Increases Adhesive Bond Strength of PEK and PEEK to Dental Composites and Enables Hydrolysis Resistance

open access: yesMacromolecular Materials and Engineering, Volume 310, Issue 8, August 2025.
Plasma‐immersion‐ion‐implantation (PIII) is applied to increase the bond strength between 3D printed Polyether–ether–ketone (PEEK) or Poly–ether–ketone (PEK) and dental composite resin. A predictive model is presented that demonstrates the relative effect of plasma and mechanical interlocking because of roughness. The bond strength achieved with plasma

Koi herpesvirus disease in carp [PDF]

open access: yesVeterinarski Glasnik, 2007
A disease in the koi carp (Cyprinus carpio koi) and the common carp (Cyprinus carpio carpio), caused by the herpesvirus and accompanied by a high mortality rate, has spread across numerous fish ponds all over the world since 1998, resulting in massive ...

Graphical models for topological groups: A case study on countable Stone spaces

open access: yesBulletin of the London Mathematical Society, Volume 57, Issue 8, Page 2311-2335, August 2025.
Abstract By analogy with the Cayley graph of a group with respect to a finite generating set or the Cayley–Abels graph of a totally disconnected, locally compact group, we detail countable connected graphs associated to Polish groups that we term Cayley–Abels–Rosendal graphs.

Pharmacokinetic and Efficacy Study of Acyclovir Against Cyprinid Herpesvirus 3 in Cyprinus carpio

open access: yesFrontiers in Veterinary Science, 2020
Cyprinid Herpesvirus 3 (CyHV-3), more commonly known as Koi Herpesvirus (KHV), is a re-emergent virus causing acute systemic infection with high mortality rates in koi fish (Cyprinus carpio).

ESR1 Variants and Subcontinental Genomic Ancestry: Insights from the 1000 Genomes Project and Native American Populations

open access: yesClinical Pharmacology &Therapeutics, Volume 118, Issue 1, Page 232-241, July 2025.
The ESR1 gene is relevant in breast cancer treatments in the pharmacogenetics context. However, Native, African, and mixed populations are known to be underrepresented in genomic studies. This is particularly important given that the difference in variants' frequencies among different populations can lead to population‐specific clinical implications ...

Pharmacogenetic Study of Anti‐TB Drugs in the Native Ancestry Peruvian Population

open access: yesPharmacology Research &Perspectives, Volume 13, Issue 3, June 2025.
ABSTRACT In Peru, 33 113 individuals were diagnosed with tuberculosis (TB) in 2023. While TB treatments are generally effective, 3.4% to 13% of cases are associated with significant adverse drug reactions, with drug‐induced liver injury (DILI) being the most prevalent.

Analysis of the Utilization of Machine Learning to Map Flood Susceptibility

open access: yesJournal of Flood Risk Management, Volume 18, Issue 2, June 2025.
ABSTRACT This article provides an analysis of the utilization of Machine Learning (ML) models in Flood Susceptibility Mapping (FSM), based on selected publications from the past decade (2013–2023). Recognizing the challenge that some stages of ML modeling inherently rely on experience or trial‐and‐error approaches, this work aims at establishing a ...
