Ki-1 lymphomas in childhood: Immunohistochemical analysis and the significance of epithelial membrane antigen (EMA) as a new marker

Two cases of Ki-1 lymphomas in childhood were analyzed immunohistochemically and immunoelectron microscopically. They expressed Hodgkin's disease associated antigen, Ki-1, interleukin-2 receptor (IL2R), OKT9, and HLA-DR. Histologically, the tumour cells were large in size with abundant cytoplasm and atypical nuclei.

Histopathologic, immunophenotypic, and genotypic analysis of Ki-1 anaplastic large cell lymphomas that express histiocyte-associated antigens

CD30/Ki-1 antigen expression in 243 cases of malignant lymphomas was examined using Ber-H2 monoclonal antibody. Among them 20 cases were categorized as Ki-1 anaplastic large cell lymphoma. In two of these cases histiocyte-associated markers were also expressed.

This communication reports a case of the rare interdigitating reticulum cell (IDRC) sarcoma of lymph nodes in a 46-year-old man. Extensive immunophenotypic analysis on paraffin and frozen sections revealed positivity on the neoplastic cells for protein S-100 as well as for antigens CD1, HLA-DR, CD4, CD25 (IL2R) and CD30 (Ki-1).
