Fluorine‐Free Soft Nanocomposites for High‐Speed Liquid Impact Repellence
Fluorine‐free soft nanocomposite coatings are developed using silicone oil‐mediated mechanical‐stiffness control, enabling ‘dry’ liquid‐repellent surfaces that resist high‐speed water jet impacts up to ∼60 m/s. By tuning nanoparticle loading and oil content, the coatings also achieve >90% optical transparency, amphiphobicity with impact resistance to ...

Bound cyclic systems with the envelope theory
Approximate but reliable solutions of a quantum system with $N$ identical particles can be easily computed with the envelope theory, also known as the auxiliary field method.

Kinematics Kernels: A Reassessment of Particle Kinematics in Newtonian Mechanics
When a cannonball is shot towards the walls of a fortress, or when the ion drives on a satellite eject gas in order to keep its orbit stable, or, similarly, when we observe the ordinary day-to-day movements of cars, rivers, and other objects, and even the speed of a chemical reaction, we, in fact, are witnessing the effects that physics, or more ...

Butterfly wing scales are intricate cuticular functional nanosctructures. This perspective suggests that spatially varying material properties, cytoskeletal constraints, and growth‐driven mechanical instabilities shape the resulting nanoscale architectures created from single cells.

Ultra-high energy cosmic rays threshold in Randers-Finsler space
Kinematics in Finsler space is used to study the propagation of ultra high energy cosmic rays particles through the cosmic microwave background radiation. We find that the GZK threshold is lifted dramatically in Randers-Finsler space.
