The continuing significance of chiral agrochemicals

open access: yesPest Management Science, Volume 81, Issue 4, Page 1697-1716, April 2025.
In the time frame 2018–2023, around 43% of the 35 chiral agrochemicals introduced to the market (herbicides, fungicides, insecticides, acaricides, and nematicides) contain one or more stereogenic centers in the molecule, and almost 69% of them have been marketed as racemic mixtures of enantiomers or stereoisomers.

Influence of Sensory Needs on Sleep and Neurodevelopmental Care in At-Risk Neonates

open access: yesChildren
Objective: The development of a normal sleep–wake rhythm in the first weeks of life depends on the physiological sensory needs of the newborn as well as the environment surrounding them. This includes, for example, avoiding pain, exposure to bright light

Interactive Floor Support for Kinesthetic Interaction in Children Learning Environments

open access: yes, 2007
This paper introduces a novel kinesthetic interaction technique for interactive floors. The interaction techniques utilize vision-based limb tracking on an interactive floor – a 12 m² glass surface with bottom projection.

A Design Specifications Template for Wearable Haptic Interfaces: A Case Study for Robotic Gripper Applications

open access: yesJournal of Field Robotics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Wearable haptic interfaces are increasingly important for enhancing human robot collaboration, particularly in decision critical tasks that require intuitive and reliable interaction. Despite advances in wearable systems, existing designs often lack a structured framework that systematically integrates sensing, actuation, control, and user ...

The kinesthetic fusion effect: Perceptual elimination of spatial discordance in the kinesthetic modality [PDF]

open access: yesPerception & Psychophysics, 1981
Three experiments in intrasensory kinesthetic discordance are reported. The treatment required both arms to be outstretched in the midsagittal plane. In the absence of vision, a finger of one hand depressed a button that caused a probe to touch the other arm 12.7 cm closer to the body than the position of the finger.

Co‐Design to Capacity: An Instructional Design Approach for Indigenous Women Empowerment and Sustainable Technology Adoption

open access: yesSustainable Development, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The adoption of rural livelihood technologies is often hindered by a gap between participatory design and user capacity. This study addresses this challenge with a co‐designed lemongrass distillation system in rural India that remained unused due to a lack of community capacity, despite a successful design process.

Education for Problems of Sustainable Development

open access: yesSustainable Development, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The Cynefin framework for decision‐making categorizes problem environments into simple (known knowns), complicated (known unknowns), complex (unknown unknowns), and chaotic (unknowables). Simple and complicated problem environments enable best and good solutions, but complex and chaotic problem environments require emergent and novel solutions.
