Measurements, errors, and negative kinetic energy [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review A, 1993
An analysis of errors in measurement yields new insight into the penetration of quantum particles into classically forbidden regions. In addition to ``physical" values, realistic measurements yield ``unphysical" values which, we show, can form a consistent pattern.

Reactivity of cyclohex-1-enylcarboxylic and 2-methylcyclohex-1-enylcarboxylic acids with diazodiphenylmethane in aprotic solvents [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of the Serbian Chemical Society, 2000
Rate constants for the reaction of diazodiphenylmethane with cyclohex-1-enylcarboxylic acid and 2-methylcyclohex-1-enylcarboxylic acid were determined in nine aprotic solvents, as well as in seven protic solvents, at 30°C using the appropriate ...

The kinetics of the reactions of 2-substituted nicotinic acids with diazodiphenylmethane in various alcohols [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of the Serbian Chemical Society, 2003
The rate constants of 2-substituted nicotinic acids in reaction with diazodiphenylmethane (DDM) in eight alcohols at 30ºC have been determined. In order to explain the obtained results through solvent effects, the second order reaction rate constants (k)

The influence of the solvent on organic reactivity. Part II. Hydroxylic solvent effects on the reaction rates of diazodiphenylmethane with 2-(2-substituted cyclohex-1-enyl)acetic and 2-(2-substituted [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of the Serbian Chemical Society, 2004
The rate constants for the reaction of diazodiphenylmethane with 2-(2-substituted cyclohex-1-enyl)acetic acids and 2-(2-substituted phenyl)acetic acids, previously determined in seven hydroxylic solvents, were correlated using the total solvatochromic ...

THE KINETICS OF CHOLINESTERASES MEASURED FLUOROMETRICALLY [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Histochemistry & Cytochemistry, 1966
A new, simple, sensitive method is described for the fluorometric assay of cholinesterase activity based upon the hydrolysis of 1-naphthyl esters and the measurement of the fluorescence of 1-naphthol. This allows the study of the kinetics of cholinesterases and inhibitors with histochemical substrates and permits assessment of the ...

The reactivity of α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acids. Part XVI. The kinetics of the reaction of cycloalkenecarboxylic and cycloalkenylacetic acids with diazodiphenylmethane in various alcohols [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of the Serbian Chemical Society, 2002
The rate constants for the reaction of diazodiphenylmethane with 1-cyclopentenecarboxylic, 1-cycloheptenecarboxylic, cyclopent-1-enylacetic and cyclohept-1-enylacetic acids were determined in eight alcohols at 30 ºC using the appropriate UV-spectroscopic

Measurement of Eosinophil Kinetics In Vivo

open access: yes, 2021
Radiolabeled leukocyte scans are used in nuclear medicine to detect sites of infection and inflammation. We have previously demonstrated the use of clinical grade immunomagnetic beads to isolate autologous eosinophils and image their distribution in healthy volunteers.

Ultrasonic on-line spectrophotometric system for reaction kinetic measurements; pp. 52–57 [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the Estonian Academy of Sciences, 2012
A unique ultrasonic online spectrophotometric system for kinetic measurements of homogeneous polar reactions under ultrasound was developed. The setup consists of an ultrasonic bath, an HPLC UV/Vis detector, an HPLC pump, a refrigerated heating ...

Investigation of Liberation Mechanism of Electronic Scrap by Impact Energy Measurements and DEM Simulations

open access: yesJournal of MMIJ, 2023
To clarify the mechanism of liberation in the comminution process of electronic scrap (e-scrap), we attempted to express the degree of liberation by first-order kinetic equation related to impact energy.
