Direct measurements of DOCO isomers in the kinetics of OD+CO [PDF]
Quantitative and mechanistically-detailed kinetics of the reaction of hydroxyl radical (OH) with carbon monoxide (CO) have been a longstanding goal of contemporary chemical kinetics.

Relaxation dynamics of closed diffusive systems with infinitesimal Langmuir kinetics
We consider the asymmetric simple exclusion process with Langmuir kinetics in the closed boundary condition. We analytically obtain the exact stationary state and a series of excited states of the system in the limit where Langmuir kinetics is ...

H(II) centers in natural silica under repeated UV laser irradiations
We investigated the kinetics of H(II) centers (=Ge'-H) in natural silica under repeated 266nm UV irradiations performed by a Nd:YAG pulsed laser. UV photons temporarily destroy these paramagnetic defects, their reduction being complete within 250 pulses.

An H-theorem for incompressible fluids [PDF]
A basic aspect of the kinetic descriptions of incompressible fluids based on an inverse kinetic approaches is the possibility of satisfying an H-theorem. This property is in fact related to the identification of the kinetic distribution function with a probability density in an appropriate phase space.

A kinetic transport-projection splitting algorithm for an hierarchy of moment closures of gas-kinetic equations [PDF]
We review some geometrical properties of models of moment closures of gas-kinetic equations, and consider a transport-projection splitting scheme for construction of solutions of such closures. The scheme, formulated in terms of a dual kinetic density, defines the kinetic density in successive superposition of transport in $x$--direction and projection

Mobile obstacles accelerates and inhibits the bundle formation in two-patch colloidal particle
Aggregation of protein into bundles is responsible for many neurodegenerative diseases. In this work, we show how two-patch colloidal particles self assemble into chains and a sudden transition to bundles takes place by tuning the patch size and solvent ...
