Innovative SETI by the KLT [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of Bursts, Pulses and Flickering: wide-field monitoring of the dynamic radio sky — PoS(Dynamic2007), 2008
SETI searches are, by definition, the extraction of very weak radio signals out of the cosmic background noise. When SETI was born in 1959, it was "natural" to attempt this extraction by virtue of the only detection algorithm well known at the time: the Fourier Transform (FT).

Direct Detection of Hydrogen Reveals a New Macroscopic Crustal Water Reservoir on Early Mars

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, Volume 53, Issue 16, 28 August 2026.
Abstract The next great leap in Martian exploration is the return of samples to Earth. Maximizing their scientific value requires non‐destructive analytical techniques for early three‐dimensional characterization. Neutron computed tomography (CT), highly sensitive to hydrogen, complements conventional X‐ray CT and enables the detection of hydrous ...

CD47 promotes mitogen‐activated protein kinase and epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition molecular programs to drive prometastatic phenotypes in non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, Volume 20, Issue 8, Page 1963-1985, August 2026.
Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

Active Tectonics of the Eastern and Southern Alps ‐ Crustal Response to Deep Processes? A Review

open access: yesTectonics, Volume 45, Issue 8, August 2026.
Abstract Owing to the low N‐S convergence rates between Adria and Europe, crustal deformation rates in the Alps and its forelands are low. Active tectonics are, therefore, difficult to study, especially as non‐tectonic landscape forming processes can erase or modify the tectonic surface imprint. Large‐scale and dense seismological data recently offered

AKTIVITAS ANTIRADIKAL BEBAS EKSTRAK ETANOL BUNGA KECOMBRANG (Etlingera elatior) DENGAN METODE DPPH

open access: yesJurnal Ilmiah Medicamento, 2016
Uji aktivitas

Development and Assessment of Tailored Illustrations to Enhance Community Understandings of Genetics Topics Pembangunan Dan Penilaian Ilustrasi Yang Bersesuaian Untuk Meningkatkan Pemahaman Komuniti Tentang Topik Genetik Uundaji Na Tathmini Ya Michoro Mahususi Ili Kuboresha Uelewaji Wa Jamii Kuhusu Mada Za Jenetiki

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Biological Anthropology, Volume 190, Issue 3, July 2026.
ABSTRACT Objectives Effective communication about genetics concepts is essential for collaborative anthropological genetics research. However, communication can be challenging because many ideas are abstract and are especially unfamiliar to communities with limited access to formal education. Indeed, there are no widely adopted models for communicating

Inverse of the string theory KLT kernel [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2017
The field theory Kawai-Lewellen-Tye (KLT) kernel, which relates scattering amplitudes of gravitons and gluons, turns out to be the inverse of a matrix whose components are bi-adjoint scalar partial amplitudes. In this note we propose an analogous construction for the string theory KLT kernel.

Klt Varieties With Conjecturally Minimal Volume

open access: yesInternational Mathematics Research Notices, 2023
AbstractWe construct klt projective varieties with ample canonical class and the smallest known volume. We also find exceptional klt Fano varieties with the smallest known anti-canonical volume. We conjecture that our examples have the smallest volume in every dimension, and we give low-dimensional evidence for that.
