Ketazine‐Linked Covalent Organic Framework for Metal‐Free Electrocatalytic Nitrate‐to‐Ammonia Conversion

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, Volume 138, Issue 31, 27 July 2026.
A metal‐free fluorinated ketazine‐linked COF is introduced as an efficient electrocatalyst for nitrate reduction to ammonia under neutral conditions. Fluorine substitution enhances π–π stacking and crystallinity, enabling a Faradaic efficiency of 59.9% and an NH3 yield rate of 1639.9 µmol h−1 mgCOF−1 at −0.9 V versus RHE. This establishes an unexplored

Melatonin seed priming: A climate‐smart, green strategy to enhance abiotic stress tolerance in plants

open access: yesJournal of Integrative Plant Biology, Volume 68, Issue 8, Page 2942-2975, August 2026.
This review synthesizes how melatonin seed priming preconditions seeds to enhance tolerance against diverse abiotic stresses. It highlights the underlying mechanisms and proposes an integrative roadmap of advanced molecular and breeding tools to design next‐generation, stress‐smart plants.

Capacitors on the basis of intercalate GaSe

open access: yesTekhnologiya i Konstruirovanie v Elektronnoi Apparature, 2010
The compound GaSe is obtained by the technique of intercalation of a GaSe single crystal in a melt of the ferroelectric salt KNO3. The x-ray analysis of its crystal structure has been carried out and dielectric frequency characteristics of samples has been measured.

CNGCs in Marchantia paleacea uncouple arbuscular mycorrhizal symbiosis and rhizoid development

open access: yesNew Phytologist, Volume 251, Issue 4, Page 2027-2040, August 2026.
Rhizoid growth and AM fungal infection are uncoupled. Summary In Marchantia paleacea, MpaDMI1‐dependent nuclear Ca2+ oscillations are essential for arbuscular mycorrhizal (AM) fungal colonisation, indicating that endosymbiosis‐mediated nuclear Ca2+ signalling is a conserved feature of land plant–AM symbiosis.

Pollen longevity and viability dataset: an integrated resource for plant research and conservation

open access: yesNew Phytologist, Volume 251, Issue 4, Page 1631-1639, August 2026.
The most common methods to estimate pollen viability. Summary Pollen viability and longevity are key traits in plant reproduction, with implications for gene flow, crop breeding, and ex situ plant conservation. However, published data on these traits remain dispersed across disciplines, languages, and methods, limiting their accessibility and reuse ...

Physiology and Transcriptomics Reveal Divergent Strategies of Mycorrhiza‐Mediated Drought Adaptation in Poplar

open access: yesPlant, Cell &Environment, Volume 49, Issue 8, Page 5078-5094, August 2026.
ABSTRACT Mycorrhizal symbiosis shapes plant growth and stress resilience. Here, we compared physiological and molecular responses of poplars (P. x canescens) colonised by Paxillus involutus (Pi) or Cenococcum geophilum (Cg) under control conditions, drought stress and recovery.

Sulfadiazine selection enables high‐efficiency transformation in Nannochloropsis and Microchloropsis

open access: yesThe Plant Journal, Volume 127, Issue 3, August 2026.
SUMMARY Nannochloropsis and Microchloropsis are important as eustigmatophyte model organisms and the production of high‐value lipids. Efficient selectable markers are indispensable for genetic engineering to study and improve production yield of these species.
