Negative learning emotions and learning goal orientation in teams: HRD implications

open access: yesHuman Resource Development Quarterly, Volume 36, Issue 1, Page 49-67, Spring 2025.
Abstract Utilizing insights from team regulation theory and social cognitive theory, this research conducted empirical testing through a field survey involving engineering teams. This research is significant as it inspires teams to effectively harness their learning capacity, thereby enhancing collective motivation for future success.

Failure to replicate effects of parent‐delivered early language intervention: Evidence from a randomised controlled trial with implications for universal language intervention

open access: yesJCPP Advances, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Parent‐led, preschool language interventions may help to mitigate the risk of poor language and literacy outcomes associated with lower socioeconomic status. This study builds on two previous evaluations of a parent‐led early language teaching programme, which demonstrated mixed findings.

Healing following ridge preservation using demineralized allograft particles or fibers alone, and combined with xenograft

open access: yesJournal of Periodontology, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Allografts and xenografts are viable options for alveolar ridge preservation. This study evaluated histologic wound healing when using demineralized freeze‐dried bone allograft (DFDBA) alone, in fiber or particulate form, and in combination with xenograft. Alveolar dimensional changes were also evaluated.

Comparing the Last Interglacial (MIS 5e) with the present interglacial period (MIS 1) using a multidimensional functional diversity analysis: The marine molluscs from Santa Maria Island (Azores Archipelago, central Atlantic) as a case study

open access: yesJournal of Quaternary Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Marine fossil records hold outstanding importance for ecological, evolutionary and biogeographical studies. Santa Maria Island in the Azores Archipelago (central Atlantic) features a remarkable marine fossil record spanning from the Pliocene to recent times.

Overplacement and Market Entry Decisions: A Modified Market Entry Game to Detect Nascent Entrepreneurs' Goal‐Motivated Reasoning Amid Radical Uncertainties

open access: yesStrategic Change, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Overplacement, a form of overconfidence characterized by the distorted belief that one is better than others, is considered a key driver of nascent entrepreneurship. The entrepreneurship literature typically associates entrepreneurial overplacement with negative outcomes and attributes it to erroneous information processing. The potential role

Negative Capability and Entrepreneurial Action

open access: yesStrategic Change, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Entrepreneurs operate in environments marked by uncertainty. Two Tales of Uncertainty: Calibrating Overprecision With Self‐Regulated Entrepreneurial Learning

open access: yesStrategic Change, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Entrepreneurial success strongly depends on decision‐making under uncertainty. Uncertainty is particularly pronounced when entrepreneurs are confronted with novel situations characterized by an absence of information. While cognitive biases, such as overprecision, can have a negative impact on decision‐making processes by distorting ...

Xylan Reactions in Kraft Cooking : Process and Product Considerations

open access: yes, 2007
Xylan is the main hemicellulose in birch, eucalyptus, and most other hardwood species. During kraft pulping a series of chemical reactions and physical processes involving xylan takes place. The processes studied here are the following: dissolution, degradation, redeposition onto the fibres, side-group conversion, and cleavage of side groups off the ...
