International environment agreements and the case of global warming [PDF]

open access: yes
First, this article uses standard welfare economics to illustrate the market failure and policy coordination problems caused by transboundary pollution problems in general and global warming in particular.

GNL3 Orchestrates AR Transcriptional Programs to Drive Castration‐Resistant Prostate Cancer and Immune Evasion

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
GNL3 is a novel AR coregulator with dual coactivator and corepressor functions in prostate cancer (PCa). Our study uncovers a previously unrecognized mechanism by which the AR transcriptional complex integrates oncogenic signaling and immune suppression.

Variation of forest surface and carbon fixation in mountain areas of the Regione Veneto (Italy) and the application of the Kyoto protocol

open access: yesForest@, 2007
The Parties that have signed the Kyoto Protocol must reduce global emissions of Greenhouse Gasses (GHG) during the First Commitment Period (2008 - 2012) by at least 5% with respect to 1990. This share is 6.5% for Italy.

Driving Factors of Carbon Dioxide Emissions and the Impact from Kyoto Protocol [PDF]

open access: yes
In the last two decades increasing attention has been paid to the relationship between environmental degradation and economic development. According to the Environmental Kuznets Curve (EKC) hypothesis this relationship may be described by an inverted-U ...

Neuroprotective Effects of Time‐Restricted Feeding Combined With Different Protein Sources in MPTP‐Induced Parkinson's Disease Mice Model and Its Modulatory Impact on Gut Microbiota Metabolism

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Time‐restricted feeding (TRF) exerts protein‐dependent neuroprotective effects in an MPTP‐induced Parkinson's disease model. In casein‐fed mice, TRF improves gut barrier integrity and reduces neuroinflammation, possibly via modulation of Allobaculum and BCAAs.

SLC2A3‐Mediated Lactate Metabolism Promotes Lung Cancer Bone Metastasis by Modulating P53 Lactylation and Immune Evasion

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
SLC2A3 derived lactate promotes metastasis through p53 lactylation at K120 and osteoclast differentiation. Pharmacological inhibition of SLC2A3 upregulates PD‐1 expression on CD8+ T cells via lactate induced p53 lactylation, which modulates immune evasion. ABSTRACT Bone metastasis is a devastating consequence of lung cancer.
