Abstract From aqueous solutions containing l -arginine ( l -Arg) and oxalic acid (H2C2O4) with various mole ratios the following salts were prepared: 8 l -Arg·4H2C2O4·10H2O (or formally 2 l -Arg·H2C2O4·2.5H2O), and α , β , γ -forms of l -Arg·H2C2O4 and l -Arg·2H2C2O4.

Abstract In the l -Arg+HNO3+H2O system, where Arg stands for arginine (+(H2N)2CNH(CH2)3CH(NH2)COO−), crystals of 2( l -Arg·HNO3)·H2O (or formal l -Arg·HNO3·0.5H2O) (I) and l -Arg·2HNO3 (II) compounds have been produced. The structures of both compounds were solved by X-ray crystallography.
