Repurposing a Lipid Droplet‐Associated Algal Protein as a Biosensor for Phosphatidic Acid

open access: yesAdvanced Sensor Research, Volume 5, Issue 8, August 2026.
The DTH1 lipid binding domain (DTH1LBD) binds to lipid membranes containing phosphatidic acid (PA). Its N‐terminal amphipathic helices are sufficient for this association and, when labeled with solvatochromic fluorophores, can serve as in vitro PA biosensors.

mGluR5 in ECCCK to BLA Circuit Modulates Depressive‐Like Phenotypes through CCK Signaling

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 43, 3 August 2026.
Dysregulation of mGluR5 and CCK signaling contributes to major depressive disorder, yet circuit‐level mechanisms remain unclear. Here, the ECCCK→BLA pathway is identified as a critical regulator of affective behavior. mGluR5 modulates synaptic function and CCK signaling within this circuit, controlling stress susceptibility and depressive‐like states ...

Bilateral SERS‐Microneedle Patch for Co‐Diagnosis of Diabetes Mellitus and Tuberculosis Comorbidity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 45, 13 August 2026.
Our study introduced a U@mP@Au‐mediated bilateral SERS‐microneedle patch for analyzing glucose levels from ISF and sensitively detecting TB biomarkers from sputum, respectively. This integrated dual‐analyte detecting platform can be used for co‐diagnosis of diabetes mellitus (DM) and tuberculosis (TB) comorbidity, which was demonstrated in ex vivo ...

A Supramolecular Reversible and Anisotropic Conductive Adhesive for Flexible Electronics

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 45, 13 August 2026.
Supramolecular network‐based nanocomposites are developed as a stretchable conductive adhesive for flexible electronics. It's as convenient as traditional solders and constructs anisotropic conductive and robust stretchable connections among diverse soft/rigid materials.

Rational Design of π‐Conjugated Polymers for Enantioselective Recognition of Amino Acids

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, Volume 12, Issue 15, 10 August 2026.
A family of conducting polymers is proposed for the enantioselective recognition of amino acids. The films are generated by electropolymerization of thiophene trimers containing chiral features, with the advantage that the polymerization can be induced at much lower overpotentials compared to classic thiophene monomers, thus avoiding parasitic ...
