Reduced model for H-mode sustainment in unfavorable drift configuration in ASDEX Upgrade
A recently developed reduced model of H-mode sustainment based on interchange-drift-Alfvén turbulence description in the vicinity of the separatrix matching experimental observations in ASDEX Upgrade has been extended to experiments with the unfavorable $

Pedestal instabilities during the L-H transition
The enhanced confinement regime H-mode is the result of a transport barrier at the plasma edge. It questions about the respective roles of the kinetic gradients and the flow in the dynamic of the pedestal pressure. This work reports on measurements of instabilities and turbulences occurring in this decisive and narrow edge region.

This perspective highlights emerging insights into how the circadian transcription factor CLOCK:BMAL1 regulates chromatin architecture, cooperates with other transcription factors, and coordinates enhancer dynamics. We propose an updated framework for how circadian transcription factors operate within dynamic and multifactorial chromatin landscapes ...

Influence of n = 1 resonant magnetic perturbation on flow and turbulence towards L-H transition
The application of resonant magnetic perturbation (RMP) with toroidal mode number n = 1 on HL-3 tokamak inhibits the L-H transition at specific heating power.

Disordered but rhythmic—the role of intrinsic protein disorder in eukaryotic circadian timing
Unstructured domains known as intrinsically disordered regions (IDRs) are present in nearly every part of the eukaryotic core circadian oscillator. IDRs enable many diverse inter‐ and intramolecular interactions that support clock function. IDR conformations are highly tunable by post‐translational modifications and environmental conditions, which ...

Axisymmetric oscillations at L–H transitions in JET: M-mode
Abstract L to H transition studies at JET have revealed an n = 0, m = 1 magnetic oscillation starting immediately at the L to H transition (called M-mode for brevity). While the magnetic oscillation is present a weak ELM-less H-mode regime is obtained, with a clear increase of density and a weak electron temperature pedestal.

Time after time – circadian clocks through the lens of oscillator theory
Oscillator theory bridges physics and circadian biology. Damped oscillators require external drivers, while limit cycles emerge from delayed feedback and nonlinearities. Coupling enables tissue‐level coherence, and entrainment aligns internal clocks with environmental cues.

China has effectively safeguarded biodiversity by building the world’s largest system of nature reserves, but the livelihoods of farmers near the reserves are often not guaranteed. This paper aimed to deeply explore the intrinsic relationship between the
