Statistical Study on L‐O Mode Saturn Kilometric Radiation

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters
Based on the 13 years‐long observation of Saturn kilometric radiation (SKR) by the Cassini/Radio and Plasma Wave Science instrument, this study derives statistics for left‐hand (L‐O) mode SKR emissions.

Study on the Generation of 1.9 μm Mode Superposition Conversion Laser by Double-End Off-Axis Pumping

open access: yesPhotonics
In this paper, the Laguerre–Gaussian (LG) mode superposition is obtained by using the technology of double-end off-axis pumping Tm:YLF crystal, and the LG mode superposition is achieved by combining the extra-cavity conversion method.

Successful prediction of tokamak transport in the L-mode regime

open access: yesNuclear Fusion
Abstract A long standing shortfall in the predicted L-mode edge energy transport by reduced quasi-linear models of gyrokinetic turbulent transport has been resolved. The improved model TGLF-SAT2 has higher fidelity to gyrokinetic simulations of the electron-scale contribution to the electron energy transport and the ion-scale flux ...

On Hierarchical Composite Endpoints in Pediatric Cancer Supportive Care: Illustrative Examples From Two Multi‐Center Phase‐III Randomized Clinical Trials

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Pediatric supportive care clinical trials often involve multiple clinically important outcomes, complicating trial interpretation. Hierarchical composite endpoints (HCEs) provide a framework to integrate key outcomes according to clinical importance.

Analysis of H-mode and L-mode plasmas with a liquid Sn CPS divertor test unit in the ASDEX Upgrade tungsten divertor

open access: yesNuclear Materials and Energy
This study analyzes impurity transport during ASDEX Upgrade experiments in which a Liquid Tin Module (LTM) was exposed to diverted plasmas. Using ASTRA and Aurora, we interpret H-mode and L-mode discharges to assess tin penetration into the core and its ...

Determining Parental Factors for Clinical Trial Attrition in Pediatric Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background/Objectives Despite high enrollment rates on Children's Oncology Group (COG) protocols, attrition after initial consent is challenging, introducing bias and prolonging trial completion. While adult oncology literature has identified predictors of withdrawal, little is known about caregiver decision‐making for child participation in ...

Evaluating the Readability of Patient‐Facing Online Educational Materials for Pediatric Leukemia and Lymphoma

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Together, leukemia and lymphoma account for 38.7% of newly diagnosed pediatric cancer cases in the United States each year. Many caregivers utilize online resources to inform medical health decisions. Understanding the readability of these materials is critical to ensuring comprehensible patient education.

Improvement of Sickle Cell Disease Care Mitigates the Healthcare Utilization Induced by Increased Prevalence: Experience of a Tertiary Pediatric Center

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Sickle cell disease (SCD) has undergone major changes in the last decades. Its prevalence has been steadily increasing and numerous advances have been made in the management of the disease. However, the effect in real‐life setting of these major changes is unknown, particularly in a Canadian environment. Procedure We aimed to assess

Stationarity of I-mode operation and I-mode divertor heat fluxes on the ASDEX Upgrade tokamak

open access: yesNuclear Materials and Energy, 2019
Recent I-mode investigations from the ASDEX Upgrade tokamak are reported. It is shown that neutral-beam-injection heated I-modes can be stationary, which is important in terms of extrapolability towards future fusion devices.

Impact of Japan's 2024 Physician Work‐Style Reform on Pediatric Hematology–Oncology: Educational Implications in a 2‐Year Survey

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Japan's 2024 physician work‐style reform introduced legally binding limits on physicians’ working hours, but its impact on education and workforce sustainability in pediatric hematology–oncology (PHO) remains unclear. Procedure We conducted a repeated cross‐sectional study with structured quantitative items and free‐text responses ...
