A Spatially Resolved View on the Aging Substantia nigra: An Exploratory Proteomic Study
Although aging is the most important risk factor for several neurodegenerative diseases, the molecular effects of physiological aging are still understudied. By applying spatially‐resolved proteomic analyses of the human substantia nigra pars compacta, alterations in vesicular trafficking and mitochondrial proteins are observed, as well as reduced ...

Abstract Measurement error (ME) in geometric morphometrics has been the subject of countless articles, but none specific to the effect of time lags on landmark digitization error. Yet, especially for visiting scientists working on museum collections, it is not uncommon to collect data in multiple rounds, with interruptions of weeks or years. To explore

Integrability of Five Dimensional Minimal Supergravity and Charged Rotating Black Holes
We explore the integrability of five-dimensional minimal supergravity in the presence of three commuting Killing vectors. We argue that to see the integrability structure of the theory one necessarily has to perform an Ehlers reduction to two dimensions.

Performance‐based concept for the selection of sustainable concretes exposed to chlorides
Abstract In order to achieve UN Sustainable Development Goals, the construction industry needs to change its current concrete compositions to eco‐friendlier solutions with a much lower carbon footprint. One option is to further increase the use of supplementary cementitious materials as clinker substitution or develop innovative cement and concrete ...

Ribosomal protein L22 like 1: a promising biomarker for lung adenocarcinoma
No studies have reported the effect of ribosomal protein L22 like 1 (RPL22L1) in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD). Therefore, we aimed to systematically investigate the role of RPL22L1 in LUAD. The expression of RPL22L1 was analyzed using TCGA, GEO, TIMER, UALCAN databases, and validated by immunohistochemistry (IHC).

Double minute chromosomes (DMs) have important implications for cancer progression because oncogenes frequently amplified on them. We previously detected a functionally undefined gene amplified on DMs, Ribosomal L22-like1 (RPL22L1). The relationship between RPL22L1 and cancer progression is unknown.

Abstract A 5.5‐year‐old, male domestic ferret (Mustela putorius furo) diagnosed with insulinoma was presented for a dental procedure under general anaesthesia. In insulinoma patients, it is essential to avoid hypoglycaemia. In other species, constant rate infusion of dexmedetomidine has been reported to sustain adequate blood glucose by inhibiting ...
