Primary structure of Escherichia coli ribosomal protein L31

Biochemistry, 1978
Protein L31 from the 50S ribosomal subunit of Escherichia coli was manually sequenced by the dansyl-Edman method. Owing to the availability of only small quantities of purified L31, sequencing methods were scaled down such that the entire primary structure could be determined with 700 microgram of protein.

The Cloud Point Behaviors and the Liquid–Liquid Equilibrium of L31—Inorganic Sodium Salt Aqueous Two-Phase Systems

open access: yesJournal of Dispersion Science and Technology, 2019
The cloud point (CP) of triblock-copolymer L31 aqueous solution was determined with salting-out salts (Na2SO4/Na2CO3/NaF/NaCl/NaBr). The results show that all these salts can decrease the CP of L31 aqueous solution and form aqueous two-phase system (ATPS). With increasing concentrations of Na2SO4 and Na2CO3, an obvious phase inversion could be observed

Physicochemical perspectives (aggregation, structure and dynamics) of interaction between pluronic (L31) and surfactant (SDS)

Physical Chemistry Chemical Physics, 2015
The influence of the water soluble non-ionic tri-block copolymer L31 on the microstructure and self-aggregation dynamics of the anionic surfactant sodium dodecylsulfate (SDS) in aqueous solution was investigated.

Proteomic study of the Bacillus subtilis ribosome: Finding of zinc-dependent replacement for ribosomal protein L31 paralogues

open access: yesJournal of General and Applied Microbiology, 2006
Recent advanced studies of genomics and proteomics have revealed the variation and diversity of ribosomal proteins (r-proteins) in different organisms and organelles. Radical free and highly reducing (RFHR) two-dimensional (2-D) electrophoresis is known to be powerful for separating ribosomal proteins that are usually small and basic, and not separated

Dynamics of the PEO–PPO–PEO tri-block-copolymer L31 investigated by quasielastic neutron scattering

Physica B: Condensed Matter, 2006
The dynamics of the triblock copolymer L31 have been measured with fixed window and energy resolved scans on the backscattering spectrometer IN16. Both techniques yield consistent values for the activation energies for a local and a translational diffusion mode.

Expression, purification, and evaluation for anticancer activity of ribosomal protein L31 gene (RPL31) from the giant panda (Ailuropoda melanoleuca)

Molecular Biology Reports, 2012
Ribosomal protein L31 gene is a component of the 60S large ribosomal subunit encoded by RPL31 gene, while ribosomal protein L31 (RPL31) is an important constituent of peptidyltransferase center. In our research, the cDNA and the genomic sequence of RPL31 were cloned successfully from the giant panda (Ailuropoda melanoleuca) using RT-PCR technology ...

Cloning and nucleotide sequence of the gene for dinitrogenase reductase (nifH) from the heterocyst-forming cyanobacterium Anabaena sp. L31

Biochimica et Biophysica Acta (BBA) - Gene Structure and Expression, 1993
The nucleotide sequence of an 1655 base pair segment from Anabaena sp. L31 containing the 3' half of the nifU gene, the complete sequence of the nifH gene and the 5' end of the nifD gene is presented. nifH is very highly conserved with the same gene from Anabaena sp. PCC 7120 (91% identical at the nucleotide level; 94% identical at the amino acid level)

Structure and Evolution of DNA Transposons of the L31 Superfamily in Bivalves

Molecular Biology
The mobile genetic elements IS630/Tc 1/mariner (ITm) are widespread DNA transposons that make a significant contribution to the evolution of eukaryotic genomes. With the start of large-scale application of next-generation sequencing (NGS) technologies and the emergence of many new whole genome sequences of organisms in nucleotide sequence collections ...
