Structure of Xenopus laevis ribosomal protein L32 and its expression during development

open access: greenNucleic Acids Research, 1990
cDNA clones for Xenopus laevis ribosomal protein L32 have been isolated and sequenced. The deduced amino acid sequence indicates that L32 is a basic protein of 110 amino acids, has a molecular weight of 12,603 and is homologous to the rat ribosomal protein L35.

Hoven’s carp Leptobarbus hoevenii strategized metabolism needs to cope with changing environment [PDF]

open access: yesHeliyon
Current water warming and freshwater acidification undoubtedly affect the life of aquatic animals especially ammonotelic teleost by altering their physiological responses. The effect of temperature (28 °C vs 32 °C) and pH (7 vs.

Analysis of potential expression of highly related members of the ribosomal protein L32 gene family

open access: greenNucleic Acids Research, 1988
The processed gene L32', a member of the mouse gene family for ribosomal protein L32, could encode a 135 amino acid protein nearly identical to L32. The 5'-flanking region of the gene contains CAAT and TATA sites at positions commonly found in expressed genes.

An Experiment of Line Heating designed with the Table Orthogonal Array L32 (231)

open access: bronzeJournal of Zosen Kiokai, 1958
The method of Line Heating is mainly applied to the shipbuilding industry. It is very effective to releasse the strain of welded structure blocks, and now we began to apply it to bend all sorts of plate into arbitrary curvature. The mechanism of bending plate by Line Heating is thought as follows ;1st step : Formation of plastic zone on the heating line ...

Lymphocyte p56L32 is A RNA/DNA‐Binding Protein which Interacts with Conserved Elements of the Murine L32 Ribosomal Protein mRNA [PDF]

open access: bronzeEuropean Journal of Biochemistry, 1995
In previous studies of the ribosomal protein L32 mRNA, we demonstrated that a conserved polypyrimidine tract found in the 5′‐untranslated region (5′‐UTR) was required for translational regulation in vivo and that a 56‐kDa protein (p56L32) from T‐lymphocytes specifically interacts with this sequence [Kaspar, R. L., Kakegawa, T., Cranston, H., Morris, D.

Ribosomal protein L32 of Saccharomyces cerevisiae regulates both splicing and translation of its own transcript.

open access: hybridJournal of Biological Chemistry, 1993
Ribosomal protein L32 of Saccharomyces cerevisiae regulates the splicing of its own transcript (1, 2) apparently by interacting with a structure composed largely of the 5' exon. However, even in strains overproducing L32 mRNA, e.g. from a cDNA copy of the gene, little accumulation of L32 is observed after a brief pulse label.

The synthesis of Ribosomal Proteins S16 and L32 Is Not Autogenously Regulated During Mouse Myoblast Differentiation [PDF]

open access: closedMolecular and Cellular Biology, 1987
A series of mouse myoblast cell lines was constructed that contain 1 to 34 extra copies of either the S16 or the L32 ribosomal protein (r-protein) gene. The metabolism of the S16 and L32 r-proteins and mRNAs was examined in myoblasts and fibers of these cell lines to determine whether the synthesis of these r-proteins is autogenously regulated.

Regulation of ribosomal protein L32 synthesis by hormones

open access: gold, 2000
Ribosome production is closely coupled to the proliferative state of the cell and responds rapidly to changes in the demand for protein synthesis caused by various physiological stimuli. Control of ribosome biogenesis is accomplished by regulating the synthesis of the various precursor molecules that are assembled into mature ribosomes.
