GA-binding protein is involved in altered expression of ribosomal protein L32 gene
Differentiation of BC3H1 myoblasts to myocytes is accompanied by a 67% drop in the rate of rpL32 gene transcription. Addition of high concentrations of serum to resting myocyte populations stimulates cell growth and subsequent dedifferentiation to proliferating myoblasts with a return to the normal rate of rpL32 gene transcription.

Dexamethasone stimulates ribosomal protein L32 gene transcription in rat myoblasts
Molecular and Cellular Endocrinology, 2000Incubation of rat L6 myoblasts for 24 h with 10(-7) M dexamethasone, a glucocorticoid analogue, resulted in a 2.5-fold increase in the rate of ribosomal protein L32 (rpL32) gene transcription with a corresponding increase in the level of rpL32 mRNA. The increased rate of transcription was accompanied by a dramatic enhancement in binding of the delta ...

Sequence analysis of a processed gene coding for mouse ribosomal protein L32
Gene, 1988The nucleotide sequence of a mouse ribosomal protein gene, identified by hybridization with the gene encoding the Drosophila ribosomal (r-) protein 49, was determined by cloning in the phage M13 and dideoxy sequencing. The mouse gene, L32', is a member of the multigene family encoding mammalian r-protein L32.

The Gene of the Yeast Ribosomal Protein L32
1988The formation of ribosomes in eucaryotes requires simultaneous synthesis of four rRNAs and more than 70 ribosomal proteins (rP). In procaryotes the rP genes are clustered in large operons and their coordinate expression could be regulated at few control sites.

The determination of plagioclase feldspars from granitic rocks, using the (l3l/l32) reflection
Geologiska Föreningen i Stockholm Förhandlingar, 1972Abstract The An contents of plagioclases from granitic rocks have been determined by X-ray diffractometry, using the (131/132) reflection. This method yielded values which are generally slightly higher than measurements with the universal stage.

Yeast ribosomal protein L32 recognizes an RNA G:U juxtaposition.
RNA (New York, N.Y.), 1996Yeast ribosomal protein L32, RPL32, specifically represses splicing by binding to a purine-rich asymmetric loop adjacent to the 5' splice site of its own transcript. A potential G:U pair closes the internal loop and the goal of the present study is to understand what features of the putative G:U pair are recognized by RPL32.

AbstractThe sequences required for the maximal expression of the mouse L32 ribosomal protein gene and the binding of nuclear factors to L32 promoter elements were analyzed in mouse myoblasts, fibers, and L cells. Various L32 r‐protein promoter sequences were linked to the chloramphenicol acetyltransferase gene (CAT), and the expression of the chimeric ...
