The “White line sign”: A novel sonographic soft marker of pelvic endometriosis

The “White line sign” represents thickening of the subperitoneal tissue overlying the anterior pouch of Douglas on transvaginal ultrasound. It demonstrated high specificity for detecting superficial endometriosis and high specificity, sensitivity, and accuracy for deep endometriosis. It was also reproducible and could be a useful soft ultrasound marker

The Alpha‐1 Pi*MZ Genotype Is an Independent Risk Factor for Hepatocellular Carcinoma Development in Patients With ACLD

Alpha‐1 antitrypsin deficiency is a genetic disease that affects the lungs and the liver. The role of the heterozygous genetic defect in the development of liver cancer in patients with cirrhosis is unclear. Our study found that carrying the Pi*MZ genotype increases the risk of developing liver cancer.

Abstract This longitudinal study examined the predictive role of emotion reactivity and regulation on sleep quality across early to middle childhood. Participants were typically developing Swedish children (N = 116, 49% girls), with reactivity and regulation assessed at ages 3, 6 and 9 years, and sleep quality measured at the age of 9 years.
