Comparing Effectiveness and Safety of Left Atrial Appendage Closure Devices: A Network Meta-Analysis of Randomized Controlled Trials. [PDF]

open access: yesClin Cardiol
In this network meta‐analysis of randomized controlled trials comparing Watchman, Amplatzer Amulet, and/or anticoagulation, we found evidence that Amulet was associated with significantly greater risk of pericardial effusion than Watchman (RR = 2.12). Safety and effectiveness of these devices were otherwise comparatively similar.
