Red Fluorescent Protein‐Metal Organic Framework Hybrids for Lighting Applications
We demonstrate the encapsulation in a metal‐organic framework (MOF) of two red fluorescent proteins, DsRed and mCherry. The materials conserve all spectroscopical and structural properties of the underlying components, which allows for their implementation as color down‐converting materials in bio‐hybrid light‐emitting diodes, which exhibit average 3 ...

A novel carbon fiber reinforcement for dielectric elastomer actuators enhances actuation force while decoupling electromechanical performance from the actuator's aspect ratio. Unlike conventional fiber reinforcements, it enables a uniform planar stretch state along the entire actuator.

Lifecycle deficit and economic support ratio in Nigeria: The national transfer account approach
Aim/purpose – The benefit of changing the population age structure only accrues to an economy if the labor market absorbs the increasing number of the working population at a given labor income that surpasses the prevailing consumption of that age group.

Labor Standards and Trade Agreements [PDF]
There is a wide disparity of views on issues of international labor standards. Labor and social activists are concerned about the increased imports from countries in which labor standards are ostensibly not enforced at a sufficiently high level.

Auto‐Routing Fluidic Printed Circuit Boards
This work introduces (STREAM) software tool for routing efficiently advanced macrofluidics, an open‐source software tool for automating the design of 3D‐printable fluidic circuit boards. STREAM streamlines tube routing and layout, enabling the rapid fabrication of fluidic networks for soft robotics, lab‐on‐a‐chip devices, microfluidics, and biohybrid ...

The feasibility of working time reductions: labor market segmentation by practical work conditions
Generalized claims regarding the feasibility of working time reductions (WTRs) dominate academic and public discourse. Beyond sporadic acknowledgements of the diversity of work contexts illustrated only by isolated examples, no attempts have been made to segment the workforce by the conditions that influence why and how WTRs can be implemented. This is
