In recent years, a number of online labor markets have emerged that allow workers from around the world to sell their labor to an equally global pool of buyers. The creators of these markets play the role of labor market intermediary by providing institutional support and remedying informational asymmetries.

On Equilibrium in Labor Markets
Journal of Political Economy, 1970In a recent issue of this Journal Lucas and Rapping (1969b) present some original and interesting views on the nature of equilibrium in labor markets. Taxes and the labor market [PDF]
We estimate the effect of exogenous changes in taxes on the US unemployment rate and on several other labor market variables. This paper studies the processes of wage and employment dynamics within local labor markets. The theoretical context is a dynamic spatial equilibrium among locales that is supported by incentives to migrate to markets offering the greatest present value of future earnings. Thus costly migration arbitrages geographic wage differences.

Housing Market and Labor Market Search
SSRN Electronic Journal, 2016Abstract Current models fail to concurrently account for several important empirical regularities in the housing and labor markets. I augment the Diamond-Mortensen-Pissarides (DMP) search and matching model of the labor market with a housing market characterized by search and matching frictions, integrating both markets in a coherent ...

ENDOGENOUS LABOR MARKET CYCLES
International Economic Review, 2018AbstractWe offer a new way of thinking about labor market fluctuations. In a perfectly stationary physical environment of the labor market, moral hazard and competition in long‐term contracting generate cycles in market tightness, which may induce job creation and destruction, and two‐period and longer cycles in wages and employment.
