Alterações oculares e imunohistoquímicas na conjuntiva e glândula lacrimal de pacientes submetidos ao transplante de medula óssea [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
PURPOSE: The primary ocular targets of chronic graft-versus-host disease (GVHD) are the lacrimal gland (LG) and the conjunctiva, and their involvement results in keratoconjunctivitis sicca (KCS).

Clinical perspectives and comparisons between immunoglobulin G4‐related disease and antineutrophil cytoplasmic antibody‐associated vasculitis

open access: yesRheumatology &Autoimmunity, EarlyView.
Clinical perspectives and comparisons between immunoglobulin G4‐related disease and antineutrophil cytoplasmic antibody‐associated vasculitis. Abstract Both immunoglobulin (Ig) G4‐related disease (IgG4‐RD) and antineutrophil cytoplasmic antibody (ANCA)‐associated vasculitis (AAV) are systemic disorders that affect a wide range of organs.

Pleomorphic adenoma of lacrimal gland [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Surgical Case Reports, 2013
We present a case of a 62-year-old male patient with pleomorphic adenoma and painless solid mass in his right eye. Computerized tomography demonstrated a mass with a diameter of 2.5 cm located in the right lacrimal gland. The mass was removed completely by combined orbitofrontal craniotomy through a transcranial approach.

FGF-induced Pea3 transcription factors program the genetic landscape for cell fate determination. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS Genetics, 2018
FGF signaling is a potent inducer of lacrimal gland development in the eye, capable of transforming the corneal epithelium into glandular tissues. Here, we show that genetic ablation of the Pea3 family of transcription factors not only disrupted the ...

Congenital fistulae of the lacrimal gland. [PDF]

open access: yesBritish Journal of Ophthalmology, 1980

Post‐Therapeutic Dosimetry of Metastatic Castration‐Resistant Prostate Cancer With 177Lu‐PSMA: Experiences From Two University‐Based Hospitals in Thailand

open access: yesAsia-Pacific Journal of Clinical Oncology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective 177Lu‐PSMA radioligand therapy (RLT) is increasingly used to treat metastatic castration‐resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC). Posttreatment dosimetry is essential for assessing normal organ absorbed doses. Therefore, this study aims to evaluate normal organs dosimetry in mCRPC patients undergoing 177Lu‐PSMA‐RLT from two university ...

A narrative literature review about alpha‐lipoic acid role in dry eye and ocular surface disease

open access: yesActa Ophthalmologica, EarlyView.
Abstract Ocular surface diseases (OSD) include various conditions that affect the eye's surface, causing discomfort and pain. One such condition, dry eye disease (DED), is a multifactorial disorder that significantly impacts patients' quality of life, with prevalence rates ranging from 5% to 50% and higher incidence in women.
