A Serological Classification of Lactobacilli [PDF]
SUMMARY: A collection of 442 strains of lactobacilli, including representatives of all recognized species and 190 freshly isolated strains was studied serologically. Using sera prepared against some of these strains and crude HCl extracts, it was possible to classify 312 (70%) of these strains by precipitin tests into six groups and one subgroup.

Glucuronolactone (GLU) as a natural metabolite of glucose, increases Lactobacillus amylovorus abundance and luminal IAA level to activate AHR signaling. In addition, GLU itself can directly elevate AHR signaling activity independently of microbiota and IAA.

Unexplained recurrent implantation failure (RIF) represents a significant clinical challenge. Our results demonstrate that reduced lactate production in the RIF endometrium impairs the suppression of cytotoxic CD8+ T‑cells, allowing their proliferation and thereby disrupting the local immune balance essential for successful embryo implantation.

Promotion of autolysis in lactobacilli.
The conditions of promotion of autolysis of three strains of Lactobacilli were investigated. The autolysis of L. acidophilus, L. helveticus and L. casei at exponential phase was remarkably enhanced by freezing storage at −20°C overnight. The turbidity decrease of L. acidophilus’ cell suspension corresponds to the increase of cell free nitrogen compounds,
