A systematic approach to the SILH Lagrangian
We consider the electroweak chiral Lagrangian, including a light scalar boson, in the limit of small ξ=v2/f2. Here v is the electroweak scale and f is the corresponding scale of the new strong dynamics.

Lagrangian Approach to Dispersionless KdV Hierarchy [PDF]
We derive a Lagrangian based approach to study the compatible Hamiltonian structure of the dispersionless KdV and supersymmetric KdV hierarchies and claim that our treatment of the problem serves as a very useful supplement of the so-called r-matrix ...

Ecological modeling and Lagrangian approach
Abstract A mathematical model is proposed for a quantitative estimation of the damage to biological resources resulting from a pollutant discharge into an aqueous environment. On the basis of the Lagrangian description of fluid motion a set of hydrophysical parameters is introduced with help of which hydrobiologists can estimate the ...

A Numerical Study of Friction Stir Welding for AA5754 Sheets to Evaluate Temperature Profile and Plastic Strain [PDF]
A full-dimensions 3-D numerical model based on the Lagrangian approach has been employed to predict the peak temperature and the plastic strain distribution in the FSW of (AA5754) joints using ABAQUS software.

Numerical investigation of the effect of different parameters on emitted shockwave from bubble collapse in a nozzle [PDF]
Cavitation can be extremely beneficial for the first spray breakup and to enhance atomization quality. An Eulerian/Lagrangian approach using Reynolds average Navier-Stokes (RANS) and bubble dynamic equations was used for the prediction of cavitation ...

Analytical and numerical solutions of radially symmetric aquifer thermal energy storage problems
Aquifer thermal energy storage (ATES) systems offer reduced energy costs, lower carbon emissions, and increased energy resilience. The feasibility, however, depends on several factors and usually require optimization.

Using a Lagrangian-Lagrangian approach for studying flow behavior inside a bubble column
Bubble columns are widely encountered in several industries, especially in the field of nuclear safety. The Eulerian-Eulerian and the Eulerian-Lagrangian methods are commonly used to investigate bubble columns.

Hamiltonian approach to lagrangian gauge symmetries [PDF]
We reconsider the problem of finding all local symmetries of a Lagrangian. Our approach is completely Hamiltonian without any reference to the associated action. We present a simple algorithm for obtaining the restrictions on the gauge parameters entering in the definition of the generator of gauge transformations.
