Caste criminalisation in South India and permanent migration to Fiji, 1903–1927
Abstract Does the official criminalisation of a group lead to permanent out‐migration? In the early 20th century, British officials in south India designated multiple castes as inherently criminal under the Criminal Tribes Act (CTA). Exposure to 305 nm PP NPs significantly disrupts the airway barrier‐on‐chip, reducing TEER, suppressing ZO‐1/ACE2 expression, and triggering ROS‐mediated apoptosis. In biological media, PP NPs exhibit a biphasic adsorption pattern, leading to the formation of a protein corona that increases their size to 364 nm.
