Pattern and process: the language of landscape ecology

open access: yesLandscape Review, 1997
Landscape architecture and landscape ecology are fundamentally concerned with the connections between landscape pattern and ecological process. Landscape ecologists typically assume that process creates pattern; landscape architects address pattern with ...

Integration of In-VEST Habitat Quality Model with Landscape Pattern Indices to Assess Habitat Fragmentation Under the Dynamic Development of Park City: Southwest China Case

open access: yesLand
With rapid urbanization, the types of land in China’s cities are continuously evolving, irreversibly impacting the habitat patches within urban areas. However, the development of park cities has reversed this trend to some extent, particularly in Chengdu,

Integrated genomic and proteomic profiling reveals insights into chemoradiation resistance in cervical cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A comprehensive genomic and proteomic analysis of cervical cancer revealed STK11 and STX3 as a potential biomarkers of chemoradiation resistance. Our study demonstrated EGFR as a therapeutic target, paving the way for precision strategies to overcome treatment failure and the DNA repair pathway as a critical mechanism of resistance.

Reduced vascular leakage correlates with breast carcinoma T regulatory cell infiltration but not with metastatic propensity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A mouse model for vascular normalization and a human breast cancer cohort were studied to understand the relationship between vascular leakage and tumor immune suppression. For this, endothelial and immune cell RNAseq, staining for vascular function, and immune cell profiling were employed.

Generative Landscape Elements: Paving patterns

open access: yesInternational Journal for Research in Applied Science and Engineering Technology, 2023
Abstract: One of the basic works which is frequently done in any landscape project is designing a paving pattern. It sounds easy, but to derive a pattern with a set of design goals, requires various hit and trails to get into the final one. There are lot of parameters which we have to cover based on the requirements and context of the site. For Example,

Liquid biopsy epigenetics: establishing a molecular profile based on cell‐free DNA

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) fragments in plasma from cancer patients carry epigenetic signatures reflecting their cells of origin. These epigenetic features include DNA methylation, nucleosome modifications, and variations in fragmentation. This review describes the biological properties of each feature and explores optimal strategies for harnessing cfDNA ...

Grain size effect of landscape in Jiangxi Guanshan subtropical evergreen broad-leaved forest

open access: yesGuangxi Zhiwu
Determining an appropriate grain size is crucial in landscape pattern analysis and ecological research. In order to gain deeper insights into the spatial diversity and dynamic characteristics of landscape pattern, based on the survey data of the 12 hm2 ...

Intein‐based modular chimeric antigen receptor platform for specific CD19/CD20 co‐targeting

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
CARtein is a modular CAR platform that uses split inteins to splice antigen‐recognition modules onto a universal signaling backbone, enabling precise, scarless assembly without re‐engineering signaling domains. Deployed here against CD19 and CD20 in B‐cell malignancies, the design supports flexible multi‐antigen targeting to boost T‐cell activation and

Class IIa HDACs forced degradation allows resensitization of oxaliplatin‐resistant FBXW7‐mutated colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
HDAC4 is degraded by the E3 ligase FBXW7. In colorectal cancer, FBXW7 mutations prevent HDAC4 degradation, leading to oxaliplatin resistance. Forced degradation of HDAC4 using a PROTAC compound restores drug sensitivity by resetting the super‐enhancer landscape, reprogramming the epigenetic state of FBXW7‐mutated cells to resemble oxaliplatin ...
