On qualitative analysis of a fractional hybrid Langevin differential equation with novel boundary conditions

open access: yesBoundary Value Problems
A hybrid system interacts with the discrete and continuous dynamics of a physical dynamical system. The notion of a hybrid system gives embedded control systems a great advantage.

Imbalance‐Aware Credit Card Fraud Detection Using Multi‐Autoencoders and Generative Ensemble Learning

open access: yesExpert Systems, Volume 43, Issue 5, May 2026.
ABSTRACT Credit card fraud detection remains a challenging research problem due to the class imbalance issue caused by the rarity of fraudulent transactions. Classical oversampling techniques such as SMOTE, ADASYN and their variants help balance data but do not reflect the nonlinear structure of real‐world fraud, leading to poor generalization.

Characterisation of a cold‐adapted, thermostable glucokinase from psychrophilic Pseudoalteromonas sp. AS‐131 reveals how the enzyme achieves high thermal stability without loss of cold adaptation

open access: yesThe FEBS Journal, Volume 293, Issue 9, Page 2617-2636, May 2026.
We investigated glucokinase from the psychrophilic Pseudoalteromonas sp. AS‐131 (PsGK), which was isolated from the Antarctic Ocean. Biochemical studies revealed that PsGK is a cold‐adapted enzyme with high thermal stability, in contrast to general cold‐adapted enzymes, which have low thermal stability.

Engineering of 10‐Deacetylbaccatin III‐10‐β‐O‐Acetyltransferase From Taxus Species for Efficient Acetylating Non‐Natural Substrates Into Taxol in Nicotiana benthamiana

open access: yesPlant Biotechnology Journal, Volume 24, Issue 5, Page 3308-3323, May 2026.
ABSTRACT 7‐β‐xylosyl‐10‐deacetyltaxol (XDT) is much more abundant than the anticancer drug Taxol in Taxus species and is usually regarded as the by‐product of Taxol. It could be enzymatically transformed into 10‐deacetyltaxol (DT), and the latter could be further converted into Taxol.

Characterization and Computational Engineering of Structural Elements Controlling Gas Permeability in PIP2;1 Aquaporins

open access: yesJournal of Computational Chemistry, Volume 47, Issue 11, 30 April 2026.
Bulky residues constrict the central pore of WT SoPIP2;1, generating high energy barriers for both O2 and CO2 and preventing gas permeation. ABSTRACT Aquaporins (AQPs) are classical water channels that also conduct small gas molecules such as O2$$ {\mathrm{O}}_2 $$ and CO2$$ {\mathrm{CO}}_2 $$ across the membrane.

From the Modeling of Experiments to the Ab Initio Prediction of Rate Constants: Statistical Rate Theory for a Quantitative Understanding of Gas‐Phase Ion Chemistry

open access: yesChemPhysChem, Volume 27, Issue 8, 28 April 2026.
For directly comparing experimental results on gas‐phase ion reactions with the predictions from quantum chemical calculations, the latter must first be converted into rate constants. This review addresses the question of whether current methods of statistical rate theory can accomplish this task reliably. Statistical rate theory has long been used for

Adsorption Preceding Wetting Front Controls Seismic Velocity

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, Volume 53, Issue 8, 28 April 2026.
Abstract Rock elasticity varies with both humidity and water saturation, yet their combined effects remain poorly understood, although in nature vapor adsorption and liquid infiltration occur simultaneously. Here, we present experimental data of P‐wave velocity and volume expansion in a free‐standing sandstone subject to progressive wetting.

Synthesis of Polyhydroxylated Pyrrolidinyl Analogs of Sugar Nucleotides. Experimental and Computational Studies on Their Interactions With GalNAC‐T's

open access: yesChemBioChem, Volume 27, Issue 7, 14 April 2026.
A multidisciplinary approach based on organic synthesis supported by quantum mechanical calculations, efficient phosphorylation methods, affinity studies using conventional techniques and saturation transfer difference nuclear magnetic resonance, together with molecular dynamics simulations, has enabled the preparation of nucleotide analogs with ...
