Mapping Steroidogenic Perturbations Under Endocrine Disruptor Mixtures Across Demographic Subgroups: Structural and Metabolomic Insights

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Population‐scale EDC–hormone association mapping among 4255 participants across demographic subgroups identifies phthalate metabolites as the most consistent signals associated with lower testosterone‐related markers in males. Integrative mechanistic validation prioritizes MCPP as a key phthalate metabolite linked to CYP17A1‐centered disruption of ...

P-sorption and desorption in Savanna Brazilian soils as a support for phosphorus fertilizer management

open access: yesCiência e Agrotecnologia, 2013
Phosphorus (P) sorption by soils is a phenomenon that varies depending on soil characteristics, influencing its intensity and magnitude, which makes it a source or drain of P. The objective of this study was to determine the Maximum Phosphorus Adsorption

Discovering Early‐Stage Gas Generation Kinetics Enables Thermal Runaway Early Warning in Lithium‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Operando gas diagnostics reveal a previously unrecognized chemical activation (CA) stage during thermal runaway in lithium‐ion batteries. A physics‐informed gas generation kinetics network (GGKNet) is developed to reconstruct reaction pathways and physical models automatically.

Biosorption characteristics of Pennisetum glaucum for the removal of Pb(II), Ni(II) and Cd(II) ions from aqueous medium

open access: yesGreen Chemistry Letters and Reviews, 2017
Kinetics and thermodynamic studies were carried out for the removal of heavy metals (Pb+2, Ni+2 and Cd+2) from aqueous solution by using Pennisetum glaucum. Surface morphology and elemental analysis were investigated with scanning electron microscope and

Efficient Adsorption‐Based Direct Air Capture Via Triply Periodic Minimal Surface Architectures

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Architected triply periodic minimal surface (TPMS) contactors reshape direct air capture by replacing straight‐channel diffusion limits with convection‐enhanced CO2 transport. Chaotic advection thins boundary layers and exposes fast adsorption sites, enabling 70%–75% more fast sites, 114% higher productivity, and 51.8% lower energy consumption than ...

Deep Learning Enables Identification of Antimicrobial Peptides Through Mechanochromic Fingerprints

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
We demonstrate a new platform for antimicrobial peptide identification by combining polydiacetylene, hyperspectral imaging, and deep learning. The trained model classifies distinct spectral fingerprints into 14 peptide classes with 96.79% accuracy, revealing previously hidden molecular information beyond conventional colorimetric sensing.

Nanowires Reinforce Oriented Macroporous Aerogels for Rapid Uranium Removal from Acidic Radioactive Wastewater

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A “reinforced concrete” structural aerogel with directional microchannels is engineered for rapid uranium capture. The interconnected architecture enables ultrafast water permeation, and the nanowire reinforcement yields a 70‐fold increase in mechanical strength.

Cage‐Type Porous Organic Salts as Ship‐in‐a‐Bottle Nanoreactors for Light‐Transparent and Reusable Molecular Photocatalysts

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
Light‐transparent, cage‐type porous organic salts (POSs) function as nanoreactors that heterogenize molecularly defined photocatalysts through size exclusion. Photocatalysts are encapsulated intact during crystallization, providing confined yet accessible reaction fields under visible light without catalyst modification.

Enhanced Antibacterial Properties of Lyotropic Liquid Crystalline Nanoparticles via Curvature Modulation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Lipid nanostructured particles with increasing negative Gaussian curvature progress from vesicles to P‐cubosomes and D‐cubosomes. This curvature hierarchy enhances interaction with bacterial membranes, promotes membrane remodeling and leakage, and potentiates daptomycin activity against MRSA.
