Multivalent protein ligands interactions are systematically investigated using programable DNA origami compartments as scaffolds. In this way, it is possible to control binding valency, flexibility, and spatial arrangement. Fluorescent labeling of the protein surface further improves binding specificity by minimizing nonspecific electrostatic ...

Synthesis and Surface Engineering of Two‐Dimensional MXenes for Advanced Functional Applications
This study highlights the synthesis, surface engineering, and advanced functional applications of MXenes, emphasizing key preparation strategies that enable their use in catalysis, energy storage, sensing, and environmental remediation. Two‐dimensional MXenes (2DMxn), a rapidly expanding family of transition metal carbides, nitrides, and carbonitrides ...

Waste‐derived ultrafine bone char removed Cr (VI) from acidic synthetic water, and the recovered Cr‐loaded solid was incorporated into asphalt‐compatible binder and mortar without major rheological disruption. The pathway links contaminant capture with preliminary spent adsorbent management, but leaching, chromium speciation, aging, and real‐wastewater

Cranberry Pomace Valorization: Composition, Extraction, Bioactivity, and Food Applications
ABSTRACT Cranberry pomace, the principal solid residue generated during cranberry processing, is increasingly recognized as a compositionally valuable coproduct rather than a waste material. This is particularly relevant in North America, where cranberry production is concentrated in the United States and Canada, the two leading producing countries ...

Tyrosinase enzyme Langmuir monolayer: Surface chemistry and spectroscopic study
[Display omitted] This study investigates the surface chemistry properties of the tyrosinase enzyme Langmuir monolayer at air-aqueous interface using sodium chloride in the subphase to induce the surface activity of the enzyme.

Cavitation of Langmuir monolayers
Physical Review E, 2002Cavitation in liquid expanded and liquid condensed Langmuir monolayers induced by laser heating or microbubble coalescence is studied experimentally using fluorescence and Brewster angle microscopy. The kinetics of hole closure of two-dimensional (2D) gaseous cavitation bubbles exhibits a decelerated dynamics for cavities surrounded by a liquid ...

Dynamics of the refractive index in Langmuir monolayers
The European Physical Journal E, 2022We present theoretical description of dynamics of the refractive index in Langmuir monolayers subjected to continuous-wave (CW) laser radiation, using the mechanism of the local temperature fluctuations. Such mechanism can be applied to all monolayer systems that consist of rodlike molecules. The CW laser radiation induces conformational transitions of

Growth of a collapsing Langmuir monolayer
Physical Review E, 2006Langmuir monolayers of stearic acid on Co ions in the aqueous subphase have been deposited at different stages of constant pressure collapse, on hydrophilic Si(001) using a modified version of the inverse Langmuir-Schaefer method of horizontal deposition.

Phage Langmuir monolayers and Langmuir–Blodgett films
Colloids and Surfaces B: Biointerfaces, 2011Stable, insoluble Langmuir monolayer films composed of Staphylococcus aureus-specific lytic bacteriophage were formed at an air-water interface and characterized. The phage monolayer was very strong, withstanding a surface pressure of ∼40 mN/m at 20 °C.
