A Periplasmic Lanthanide Mediator, Lanmodulin, in Methylobacterium aquaticum Strain 22A
Methylobacterium and Methylorubrum species oxidize methanol via pyrroloquinoline quinone-methanol dehydrogenases (MDHs). MDHs can be classified into two major groups, Ca2+-dependent MDH (MxaF) and lanthanide (Ln3+)-dependent MDH (XoxF), whose expression ...

Bis(η5-cyclopentadienyl)(2-{[(2-methoxyphenyl)imino]methyl}phenolato-κ3O,N,O′)terbium
The air- and moisture-sensitive title compound, [Tb(C5H5)2(C14H12NO2)], was synthesized from tris(cyclopentadienyl)(tetrahydrofuran)terbium and 2-{[(2-methoxyphenyl)imino]methyl}phenol. Each Tb atom is coordinated by two cyclopentadienyl ligands in an η5-

What Do Large Language Models Know About Materials?
If large language models (LLMs) are to be used inside the material discovery and engineering process, they must be benchmarked for the accurateness of intrinsic material knowledge. The current work introduces 1) a reasoning process through the processing–structure–property–performance chain and 2) a tool for benchmarking knowledge of LLMs concerning ...

Fostering Innovation: Streamlining Magnetocaloric Materials Research by Digitalization
Magnetocaloric cooling (MCE) is an environmentally friendly refrigeration method with great potential. Optimizing MCE materials involves the preparation and screening of large quantities of samples, which in turn generates a large amount of data. A digitalization approach is presented that uses ontologies, knowledge graphs, and digital workflows to ...

New Composite Contrast Agents Based on Ln and Graphene Matrix for Multi-Energy Computed Tomography
The subject of the current research study is aimed at the development of novel types of contrast agents (CAs) for multi-energy computed tomography (CT) based on Ln–graphene composites, which include Ln (Ln = La, Nd, and Gd) nanoparticles with a size of 2–

Programmable 2D magnetic clusterphenes are realized through a ligand‐mediated cluster‐assembly strategy. Direct linking of magnetic superatomic clusters enhances electron delocalization and symmetry breaking, enabling the concurrent strengthening of magnetic exchange interactions and spin–orbit coupling.

In this work, diamonds with negative charged silicon‐vacancy (SiV−) centers have been designed for use as thermometers in biomedical applications. Multiparametric analysis of the emission characteristics of the SiV− centers provides extraordinary sensitivity for temperature detection in the physiological temperature range.
