Holmium, thulium and lutetium-octamolybdate [Mo8O28](8-) 1D chains : luminescence investigation of europium doped lutetium-octamolybdate

open access: yes, 2019
In this work we report a novel lanthanide octamolybdate 1D chain type of structure formed with holmium, thulium and lutetium. This is a rare case of compounds built out of [Mo8O28](8-) units.

Application of Chiral Lanthanide-induced Shift Reagents to Optically Active Cations: the Use of Tris[3-(trifluoromethylhydroxymethylene)-( + )-camphorato]europium(III) to Determine the Enantiomeric Purity of Tris(phenanthroline)ruthenium(II) Dichloride [PDF]

open access: yes, 1984
In non-polar solvents, chiral europium complexes provide attractive n. m. r. shift reagents to resolve spectra of optically active cations, and, in particular, for tris(phenanthroline)ruthenium dichloride,^1H n. m. r. shift differences of up to 0.7 p.p.m.

Biodegradable and Recyclable Luminescent Mixed‐Matrix‐Membranes, Hydrogels, and Cryogels based on Nanoscale Metal‐Organic Frameworks and Biopolymers

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The study presents biodegradable and recyclable mixed‐matrix membranes (MMMs), hydrogels, and cryogels using luminescent nanoscale metal‐organic frameworks (nMOFs) and biopolymers. These bio‐nMOF‐MMMs combine europium‐based nMOFs as probes for the status of the materials with the biopolymers agar and gelatine and present alternatives to conventional ...

A sandwiched luminescent heterostructure based on lanthanide‐doped Gd2O2S@NaYF4 core/shell nanocrystals

open access: yesAggregate, 2023
Lanthanide (Ln3+) oxysulfide nanocrystals (NCs) have great prospect in many advanced technologies; however, they suffer from a low photoluminescence efficiency due to the volatility of sulfur and deleterious surface quenching effect.

Diverse Coordination Chemistry of the Whole Series Rare-Earth L-Lactates: Synthetic Features, Crystal Structure, and Application in Chemical Solution Deposition of Ln2O3 Thin Films

open access: yesMolecules, 2023
Rare-earth (RE, Ln) carboxylates are widely studied as precursors of RE oxide-based nanomaterials; however, no systematic studies of RE L-lactates (HLact = 2-hydroxypropanoic acid) have been reported to date.

Near‐Infrared Emitting Lanthanide Catecholate Giant Single Crystals – Morphology Control and Photon Down‐Conversion

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Controlled syntheses of lanthanide coordination polymers based on the dihydroxybenzoquinone (DHBQ) organic linker afforded large single crystals of Ln‐DHBQ CPs (Ln = Yb, Nd). A novel structural variant of Yb‐DHBQ is identified by means of single crystal diffraction analysis.

Crystal structure of a mixed-ligand terbium(III) coordination polymer containing oxalate and formate ligands, having a three-dimensional fcu topology

open access: yesActa Crystallographica Section E: Crystallographic Communications, 2016
The title compound, poly[(μ3-formato)(μ4-oxalato)terbium(III)], [Tb(CHO2)(C2O4)]n, is a three-dimensional coordination polymer, and is isotypic with the LaIII, CeIII and SmIII analogues. The asymmetric unit contains one TbIII ion, one formate anion (CHO2−
