Lanthanide–corrole conjugates

Dalton Transactions, 2013
Ditopic corroles with lanthanide-binding motifs were prepared and shown to be dual-range emitters, in the visible and near-IR, in ambient conditions.

Lanthanide‐induced calcergy

The Journal of Pathology, 1981
AbstractThe subcutaneous injection of solutions of chloride salts of the rare earths is follwed by calcification of the dorsal fascia in the mouse. The concentration of salt required to produce a constant, predictale response varies from salt to salt.

Lanthanide oxochalcogenido clusters

Dalton Transactions, 2010
Lanthanide chalcogenolates react with either TeO(2) in pyridine or py-SO(3) in THF to give oxychalcogenido clusters. The sulfido derivatives (THF)(8)Ln(8)S(2)O(2)(SePh)(16) (Ln = Ce, Nd) are isostructural with previously reported oxoselenido compounds, and must be prepared at low temperatures to avoid the introduction of Se into the sulfide position ...

Lanthanide−Potassium Wheels

Inorganic Chemistry, 2005
Mixed potassium-lanthanide wheel-shaped-structured, hexanuclear coordination oligomers of composition [(eta5-C5H5)Ln(NPh2)2{N(PPh2)2}2K2(THF)4]2 (Ln = Er (1a), Yb (1b)) and an octanuclear coordination polymer of composition [(eta5-C5H5)Sm(NPh2)2{N(PPh2)2}K]infinity (2) were synthesized.

Design of Lanthanide Fingers: Compact Lanthanide‐Binding Metalloproteins

ChemBioChem, 2010
AbstractLanthanides have interesting chemical properties; these include luminescent, magnetic, and catalytic functions. Toward the development of proteins incorporating novel functions, we have designed a new lanthanide‐binding motif, lanthanide fingers.

From lanthanide chlorides to lanthanide pentafluorophenolates via lanthanide N,N-dialkylcarbamates

Polyhedron, 2015
Neodymium and terbium pentafluorophenolates, containing 1,10-phenanthroline as ancillary ligand, [Ln(OC6F5)3(phen)3], (1 Ln = Nd, 2 Ln = Tb) have been synthesized by reacting the N,N-dibutylcarbamato complexes, [Ln(O2CNBu2)3], easily obtained from aqueous solutions of lanthanide salts, with C6F5OH in the presence of 1,10-phenanthroline.

Synthesis of lanthanide and lanthanide-silicate aerogels

Journal of Sol-Gel Science and Technology, 1994
In this paper we report on the preparation of mixed lanthanide-silicate and pure lanthanide aerogels from the chlorides of erbium, praseodymium, and neodymium. A two-step sol-gel method is described for preparing the mixed aerogels, using a sub-stoichiometric amount of water in the first step to prepare a partially condensed silica-lanthanide precursor.

Lanthanide corroles: a new class of macrocyclic lanthanide complexes

Chemical Communications, 2013
The first examples of lanthanide corroles are prepared by two synthetic routes. (Mes2(p-OMePh)corrole)La·4.5DME (1·4.5DME) and (Mes2(p-OMePh)corrole)Tb·4DME (2·4DME) are prepared from the free base corrole and Ln((NSiMe3)2)3, while (Mes2(p-OMePh)corrole)Gd·TACNMe3 (3·TACNMe3) is prepared by metathesis of the recently reported Li3 corrole and GdCl3.
