Long-term Survival after Lapatinib Rechallenge in Isolated Brain Metastasis of HER2-positive Breast Cancer

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Breast Health, 2015
Lapatinib is an effective drug in HER2-positive breast cancer. We present a case with successful treatment of lapatinib in brain metastasis of HER2+ breast cancer. Forty-eight years old woman was admitted our clinic with early breast cancer.

Real‐world data of lapatinib and treatment after lapatinib in patients with previously treated HER2‐positive metastatic breast cancer: A multicenter, retrospective study

open access: yesCancer Medicine, 2020
Lapatinib is widely used in the later lines treatment of HER2 positive metastatic breast cancer (MBC). EGF104900 study suggested that among patients who experienced progression on prior trastuzumab‐containing regimens, lapatinib plus trastuzumab had ...

Cytotoxic Effects of the Dual ErbB Tyrosine Kinase Inhibitor, Lapatinib, on Walker 256 Rat Breast Tumour and IEC-6 Rat Normal Small Intestinal Cell Lines

open access: yesBiomedicines, 2019
Lapatinib is an orally administered, dual ErbB1/ErbB2 tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI). It is effective in ErbB2 + ve breast cancer treatment. However, lapatinib is associated with diarrhoea with an incidence of 47−75%.

Lapatinib and lapatinib plus trastuzumab therapy versus trastuzumab therapy for HER2 positive breast cancer patients: an updated systematic review and meta-analysis

open access: yesSystematic Reviews, 2022
Introduction Trastuzumab, as the gold standard for HER2-positive BC treatment, was the first-line HER2 targeted drug. However, some studies reported patients benefited more from lapatinib and lapatinib plus trastuzumab therapy than standard trastuzumab ...

The Possible Mechanism of Idiosyncratic Lapatinib-Induced Liver Injury in Patients Carrying Human Leukocyte Antigen-DRB1*07:01. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2015
Idiosyncratic lapatinib-induced liver injury has been reported to be associated with human leukocyte antigen (HLA)-DRB1*07:01. In order to investigate its mechanism, interaction of lapatinib with HLA-DRB1*07:01 and its ligand peptide derived from tetanus

Decoupling of the PI3K Pathway via Mutation Necessitates Combinatorial Treatment in HER2+ Breast Cancer.

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2015
We report here on experimental and theoretical efforts to determine how best to combine drugs that inhibit HER2 and AKT in HER2(+) breast cancers. We accomplished this by measuring cellular and molecular responses to lapatinib and the AKT inhibitors ...

Single‐Cell Transcriptomic Analysis of Tumor Heterogeneity and the Microenvironment in Pseudomyxoma Peritonei

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study presents a single‐cell atlas of pseudomyxoma peritonei spanning primary and paired metastatic lesions. Distinct epithelial substates, stromal remodeling, immune exclusion, lipid metabolic reprogramming, and a candidate angiogenic network were identified in metastatic lesions.
