Pervasiveness of the $p$-Laplace operator under localization of fractional $g$-Laplace operators
In this work we analyze the behavior of truncated functionals as \begin{equation*} \int_{\mathbb{R}^N}\int_{B(x,δ)} G\left(\frac{|u(x)-u(y)|}{|x-y|^{s}}\right)\frac{dydx}{|x-y|^N}\qquad\text{for }δ\to0^+. \end{equation*} Here the function $G$ is an Orlicz function that in addition is assumed to be a regularly varying function at $0$.

Lower bounds for the spectrum of the Laplace and Stokes operators [PDF]
We prove Berezin--Li--Yau-type lower bounds with additional term for the eigenvalues of the Stokes operator and improve the previously known estimates for the Laplace operator. Generalizations to higher-order operators are given.

Commercial cells made of four different cathode materials are studied for two modes of degradation and subsequently characterized with three different diagnostic techniques during and after aging, leading to a total of more than 200 cells analyzed for this study. Thus, this study reveals aging effects for lithium–ion batteries beyond state of health of

Abstract In this work, we focus on a fractional differential equation in Riesz form discretized by a polynomial B‐spline collocation method. For an arbitrary polynomial degree p$$ p $$, we show that the resulting coefficient matrices possess a Toeplitz‐like structure. We investigate their spectral properties via their symbol and we prove that, like for

The influence of gas diffusion layer (GDL) microstructures on mass transport and methylcyclohexane saturation (MCH) in a dehydrogenation cell was investigated using pore network modeling. We reveal that GDLs with larger pore diameters (dpore) and lower tortuosity (τ) enable enhanced MCH invasion, thereby improving reactant concentration at the catalyst.

Bohr phenomena for Laplace-Beltrami operators
AbstractWe investigate a Bohr phenomenon on the spaces of solutions of weighted Laplace-Beltrami operators associated with the hyperbolic metric of the unit ball in ℂN. These solutions do not satisfy the usual maximum principle, and the spaces have natural bases none of whose members is a constant function.

On the projections of Laplacians under Riemannian submersions
We give a condition on Riemannian submersions from a Riemannian manifold M to a Riemannian manifold N which will ensure that it induces a differential operator on N from the Laplace-Beltrami operator on M.

Overview of the Investigation into the Effective Operating Parameters of the Foamy Oil Process. Abstract This research employed a visual method to explore the behaviour of foamy oil in heavy oil systems. A Hele‐Shaw cell was designed for observing the volumetric expansion of foamy oil as the system pressure decreased.
