A novel quinazolinone insulin receptor inhibitor and its synergy with an EGFR inhibitor in glucose‐driven glioblastoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The novel styrylquinazolinone‐based molecule W1B effectively suppresses glioblastoma by inhibiting IGF1R and EGFR. In high‐glucose microenvironments driving tumor resistance, W1B acts synergistically with the EGFR inhibitor dacomitinib. This combination safely blocks compensatory survival signaling in zebrafish xenograft models. Showcasing promising in

Epigenetic heterogeneity and plasticity in therapy‐induced tumor states through single‐cell multi‐omics

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Single‐cell multi‐omics reveals epigenetic heterogeneity across therapy‐adaptive tumor states, including quiescent/dormant, drug‐tolerant persister, and EMT‐like phenotypes. By linking regulatory features with state‐associated biomarkers, these approaches inform biomarker‐guided therapeutic strategies for evolving tumors.

Research on the relationship between acoustic emission signal and material removal rate during fixed abrasive lapping

open access: yesJin'gangshi yu moliao moju gongcheng, 2017
Due to passivation and wear, fixed abrasive lapping pad needs to be conditioned.Material removal rate is one of the characteristic indexes to judge the condition of the lapping pad.The relationship between acoustic emission signal and material removal ...

Analysis of kinematics of tool and work piece contact during lens processing

open access: yesВесці Нацыянальнай акадэміі навук Беларусі: Серыя фізіка-тэхнічных навук, 2020
Using the first axiom of statics for equilibrium of a two forces system applied to points of a solid body, it was verified, that the pressure in the zone of contact of a tool with a lens during its abrasive processing by the grinding-free method is ...

INCIDENCE OF SHOULDER-TIP PAIN IN LAP. CHOLECYSTECTOMY NORMAL VERSUS LOW-PRESSURE PNEUMOPERITONEUM

open access: yesBiological and Clinical Sciences Research Journal, 2023
Open cholecystectomy can lead to several post-operative complications. However, with the advent of minimal access surgery, these complications have decreased to a large extent. Nowadays, laparoscopic cholecystectomy is considered the gold standard for cholelithiasis.

Extrapolating echocardiographic determinants of elevated Left Atrial Pressure (LAP) to Cardiac Magnetic Resonance Imaging (CMR) to determine the best CMR correlate of elevated LAP [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance, 2016
Background The ratio of the transmitral early inflow wave velocity (E wave velocity) and the velocity of the septal (or lateral) mitral annulus as measured by tissue Doppler (the e’ wave velocity) can be used to estimate left atrial pressure on echocardiographic examination.

PAK1 activation drives divergent resistance mechanisms to aromatase inhibition and tamoxifen in a luminal: A breast cancer model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Breast cancer remains a major cause of cancer death in women, frequently developing endocrine therapy resistance. This study demonstrates that upregulated p21‐activated kinase 1 (PAK1) activity drives resistance to tamoxifen and long‐term estrogen deprivation in ER+ breast cancer models.

Inhibition of cyclin‐dependent kinases 12/13 using CT7439 as a treatment for colorectal cancer with CDK12 upregulation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The proposed mechanism of action for the CDK12/13 inhibitor and cyclin K degrader, CT7439. CDK12/13 inhibition interrupts transcription elongation, leading to increased DNA damage that results in cell death. This agent is a potentially novel treatment option for patients with colorectal cancer. Created in BioRender. Cyclin‐dependent kinase (CDK) 12 and

ZW4864‐mediated inhibition of the β‐catenin/BCL9/BCL9L complex reveals therapeutic potential in bladder cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
BCL9 and BCL9L drive bladder cancer progression by enhancing β‐catenin signaling, promoting proliferation, migration, invasion, and organoid growth. Genetic depletion of BCL9(L) suppresses malignant phenotypes, while pharmacological disruption of the β‐catenin/BCL9(L) complex with ZW4864 inhibits canonical Wnt signaling and tumor‐associated cellular ...
