Nota Lepidopterologica, 2014 Scotopteryx kurmanjiana sp. n. is described from the Kopet-Dagh Mountains in Northeast Iran and South Turkmenistan. The new species is considered to be closely related to Scotopteryx kuznetzovi (Wardikian, 1957) described from Armenia.
