3D‐Nanoprinted Fluidically Steerable Soft Robotic Microcatheters

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
This work introduces a ∼3‐French (1 mm‐in‐diameter) soft robotic microcatheter fabricated by means of two‐photon direct laser writing. The 3D‐printed microcatheter enables remote, on‐demand steering via microfluidic actuation for guidewire‐free navigation of vascular networks as well as microcatheter‐mediated delivery of fluidic payloads to target ...

Characteristics of early neurological deterioration in minor non-disabling ischemic stroke patients

open access: yesThe Egyptian Journal of Neurology, Psychiatry and Neurosurgery
Background The benefit of intravenous thrombolysis (IVT) in minor ischemic stroke patients still is controversial. Objective The incidence and risk factors of early neurological deterioration (END) in minor non-disabling patients were determined. Methods

Magnetic Micro‐ and Nanorobots for Precision Thrombolysis: Design Strategies and Translational Challenges

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
Micro‐ and nanorobots for targeted thrombolysis. This perspective elaborates on the clinical indication of blood clot disorders and current limitations for treatment. As a novel, alternative solution, micro‐ and nanorobots can be used to treat and break down thrombi.

Optimization of Magnetic Milli‐Spinner for Robotic Endovascular Intervention

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
This work presents the design optimization of a multifunctional magnetic milli‐spinner for high‐speed propulsion and efficient clot debulking. The optimized design achieves an ultrafast swimming velocity of 55 cm/s (≈175 body lengths/s) in saline water, enabling stable upstream swimming against strong physiological flows and establishing magnetic milli‐

Organ‐Specific and Conserved Regulatory Logic Orchestrates Gene Expression in the Embryonic Mesothelium

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Integrated multi‐omic profiling maps the gene‐regulatory landscape of the coelomic mesothelium across heart, lung, and pancreas. A cardiac‐restricted regulatory program is uncovered in which TBX20 activates heart mesothelial (epicardial) cis‐regulatory elements, while MAF emerges as a conserved regulator of mesothelial identity.

Aristotle‐Only Direct Aspiration First‐Pass Technique (AO‐ADAPT) for Endovascular Mechanical Thrombectomy: A Technical Series of a Novel Technique Demonstrating Safety and Efficacy

open access: yesStroke: Vascular and Interventional Neurology
Background The introduction of soft, large‐profile microwires has improved aspiration catheter delivery for intracranial large‐vessel occlusions. The Aristotle‐only direct aspiration first‐pass technique (AO‐ADAPT) uses the Aristotle 24 microwire to ...

Endothelial GPR68 Is Essential for Arteriogenesis and Represents a Therapeutic Target in a Model of Peripheral Artery Disease

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Endothelial GPR68 is identified as a critical regulator of collateral artery growth in peripheral artery disease. Genetic and pharmacological evidence demonstrates that GPR68 integrates hemodynamic cues to drive monocyte recruitment and inflammatory remodeling, thereby promoting collateral arteriogenesis and tissue perfusion after ischemia ...

Novel Vascular‐Adaptive Liquid Metal Microspheres Enable Visualized Arterial Embolization Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We present drug‐loaded liquid metal microspheres (X‐MEN) as a novel agent for image‐guided arterial embolization. With inherent radiopacity and superior deformability, X‐MEN enables real‐time monitoring and conforms tightly to irregular vessels. This approach ensures precise, long‐lasting embolization without recanalization, addressing critical ...
