RB1 inactivation in cutaneous carcinomas

open access: yesHistopathology, EarlyView.
Among skin carcinomas, recurrent RB1 inactivation is observed in Merkel cell carcinoma, in a subset of squamous cell carcinoma with bowenoid morphology, in sebaceous carcinoma and in the recently described Wnt/beta‐catenin rosette‐forming carcinoma.

The spectrum of breast in situ papillary carcinomas with invasion and invasive breast carcinomas with papillary features: an overview of histological subtypes and diagnostic challenges

open access: yesHistopathology, EarlyView.
Invasive breast carcinomas with papillary features (IBCP) comprise diverse subtypes with variable architecture, histopathology, and clinical behaviour. This review outlines evolving classification, diagnostic criteria, and treatment implications, highlighting challenges in distinguishing in situ from invasive lesions. Standardised diagnostic approaches

Prolonged exposure to artificial light and carcinogenesis: A systematic review of oncostatic mechanisms associated with melatonin pathways

open access: yesPhotochemistry and Photobiology, EarlyView.
Exposure to artificial light at night (ALAN), particularly at blue wavelengths, disrupts circadian rhythms by suppressing melatonin, thereby increasing cancer susceptibility. This systematic review consolidates evidence linking prolonged ALAN exposure to an elevated risk of breast and prostate tumors.

A Multi‐Institutional Retrospective Study of 21 Dogs Having Undergone Hypofractionated Radiotherapy for Adrenal Tumours (2017–2024)

open access: yesVeterinary and Comparative Oncology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Radiation therapy (RT) has emerged as a promising non‐surgical approach for treating canine adrenal tumours. This multi‐institutional, retrospective study describes clinical outcomes for 21 dogs having been prescribed a course of hypofractionated image‐guided intensity‐modulated RT (IMRT) entailing delivery of 25–35 Gy total in 5 fractions ...

Adequacy evaluation of 22‐gauge needle endoscopic ultrasound‐guided tissue acquisition samples and glass slides preparation for successful comprehensive genomic profiling testing: A single institute experience

open access: yesDEN Open, Volume 6, Issue 1, April 2026.
Abstract Objectives This study aimed to evaluate the successful sequencing rate of Foundation One CDx (F1CDx) using small tissue samples obtained with a 22‐gauge needle (22G) through endoscopic ultrasound‐guided fine needle acquisition (EUS‐TA) and to propose guidelines for tissue quantity evaluation criteria and proper slide preparation in clinical ...
