Epigenetic heterogeneity and plasticity in therapy‐induced tumor states through single‐cell multi‐omics

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Single‐cell multi‐omics reveals epigenetic heterogeneity across therapy‐adaptive tumor states, including quiescent/dormant, drug‐tolerant persister, and EMT‐like phenotypes. By linking regulatory features with state‐associated biomarkers, these approaches inform biomarker‐guided therapeutic strategies for evolving tumors.

Reinforcement-Learning-Based Edge Offloading Orchestration in Computing Continuum

open access: yes
The AI-driven applications and large data generated by IoT devices connected to large-scale utility infrastructures pose significant operational challenges, including increased latency, communication overhead, and computational imbalances.

Countable support iterations and large continuum

open access: yes, 1997
We prove that any countable support iteration formed with posets with $ω_2$-p.i.c.\ has $ω_2$-c.c., assuming CH in the ground model and assuming also that $ω_1$ is not collapsed. This improves earlier results of Shelah by removing the restriction on the length of the iteration.

Mycobacterial cell division arrest and smooth‐to‐rough envelope transition using CRISPRi‐mediated genetic repression systems

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
CRISPRI‐mediated gene silencing and phenotypic exploration in nontuberculous mycobacteria. In this Research Protocol, we describe approaches to control, monitor, and quantitatively assess CRISPRI‐mediated gene silencing in M. smegmatis and M. abscessus model organisms.

The bargaining set of a large economy with differential information. [PDF]

open access: yes
We study the Mas-Collel bargaining set of an exchange economy with differential information and a continuum of traders. We established the equivalence of the private bargaining set and the set of Radner competitive equilibrium allocations.

The ALMA Survey of Gas Evolution of PROtoplanetary Disks (AGE-PRO). X. Dust Substructures, Disk Geometries, and Dust-disk Radii

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
We perform visibility fitting to the dust continuum Band 6 1.3 mm data of the 30 protoplanetary disks in the Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array Survey of Gas Evolution of PROtoplanetary Disks (AGE-PRO) Large Program.

Polarization‐resolved femtosecond Vis/IR spectroscopy tailored for resolving weak signals in biological samples using minimal sample volume

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Unique biological samples, such as site‐specific mutant proteins, are available only in limited quantities. Here, we present a polarization‐resolved transient infrared spectroscopy setup with referencing to improve signal‐to‐noise tailored towards tracing small signals. We provide an overview of characterizing the excitation conditions for polarization‐

Applicability of mitotic figure counting by deep learning: a development and pan‐cancer validation study

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
In this study, we developed a deep learning method for mitotic figure counting in H&E‐stained whole‐slide images and evaluated its prognostic impact in 13 external validation cohorts from seven different cancer types. Patients with more mitotic figures per mm2 had significantly worse patient outcome in all the studied cancer types except colorectal ...

The Structure of Equilibrium in an Asset Market with Variable Supply [PDF]

open access: yes
This note presents new results on existence of rich Fubini extensions. The notion of a rich Fubini extension was recently introduced by Sun (2006) and shown by him to provide the proper framework to obtain an exact law of large numbers for a continuum of

Exon 7 splicing of ERα predicts poor prognosis and increases phenotypic heterogeneity in luminal a subtype breast cancer

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
ERα splice variant ERα∆7 lacks the C‐terminus, and its expression may change phenotypes of breast cancers. Our results showed that ERα∆7 is found in the luminal A subtype, and elevated ERα∆7 levels are linked to improved cell survival with lower proliferation and migration.
