In this paper, we proposed a lattice dynamic treatment for the total potential energy for single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNT's) which is, apart from a parameter for the non-linear effects, extracted from the vibrational energy of the planar graphene ...

Instabilities and soot formation in high-pressure, rich, iso-octane-air explosion flames - 1. Dynamical structure [PDF]
Simultaneous OH planar laser-induced fluorescence (PLIF) and Rayleigh scattering measurements have been performed on 2-bar rich iso-octane–air explosion flames obtained in the optically accessible Leeds combustion bomb.

Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

Experiment on oil and gas explosion of slender pipelines with different length-to-diameter ratios
To study the law of oil & gas explosion overpressure and flame propagation of slender pipelines with large lengthto-diameter ratios in confined space in oil storage and transportation engineering, an oil and gas explosion experimental system for slender ...

Here, we demonstrate that HS1BP3 interacts with Cortactin through a proline‐rich region (PRR3.1) and show that this interaction, and HS1BP3 itself, promote cancer cell proliferation and invasion. Inhibition of this interaction leads to build‐up of TKS5 in multivesicular endosomes and altered secretion of CD63 and CD9, providing an explanation for the ...

Abstract Over a wide range of length-to-diameter ratios l / d extending from 50 to 800, the systematic nature of the critical heat flux (CHF) in tubes is explored by analyzing CHF data upto 1051, which have recently been obtained in experiments of R-12 at 1.47 MPa for a tube diameter d = 3, 5 and 8 mm, and a mass velocity G = 510–6055 kg m −2 ...

Attraction of like-charged macroions in the strong-coupling limit
Like-charged macroions attract each other as a result of strong electrostatic correlations in the presence of multivalent counterions or at low temperatures.

Unique biological samples, such as site‐specific mutant proteins, are available only in limited quantities. Here, we present a polarization‐resolved transient infrared spectroscopy setup with referencing to improve signal‐to‐noise tailored towards tracing small signals. We provide an overview of characterizing the excitation conditions for polarization‐

Experimental velocity fields and forces for a cylinder penetrating into a granular medium [PDF]
We present here a detailed granular flow characterization together with force measurements for the quasi-bidimensional situation of a horizontal cylinder penetrating vertically at a constant velocity in dry granular matter between two parallel glass ...

Time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering captures how proteins change shape in real time under near‐native conditions. This article presents a practical workflow for light‐triggered TR‐XSS experiments, from data collection to structural refinement. Using a calcium‐transporting membrane protein as an example, the approach can be broadly applied to study ...
